I use it with the S8 phone, there is a convenient Galaxy Wearable application where you can set the equalizer, transfer files, view fitness tracker data (although it is not clear why it is needed here in principle), etc. The kit includes 3 sets of ear pads and rubber inserts of different sizes for different sizes of the auricle. Picked it up with no problems. Of the minuses described by previous commentators, so far (for 2 months) I have not noticed anything, the volume level is normal in both headphones. Unless the signal is interrupted if you hold the phone in your hand in your jacket pocket. The kit was sent for warranty repair, which ended with a verdict: the air filters were replaced. What it is - I don't know, but it was repaired - and it's good. A month after the start of operation of the SECOND set, the volume of the sound of one of the headphones dropped sharply. In the same service center, they refused to take it for repair, arguing that the headphone meshes are dirty, and this is a non-warranty case. To the objection "but how can you use in-ear headphones without polluting them", they answered me: "your difficulties, but you lose the guarantee." VERDICT: headphones are an expensive toy that will only please you for a couple of months. Then you will not climb out of the repair, throwing your money for it. Headphones are not designed to be protected from earwax. And it is impossible to clean the earphones from sulfur without disassembling them. I was pleased with the dense, loud enough sound with good detail, as well as support for the AAC format for the built-in player.
The new case has become smaller and more ergonomic. And you can charge it both from a standard USB cable and USB type C.
Well, of course, Samsung would not be Samsung if it had not implemented touch controls in the wireless headphone model. It is quite advanced here and requires prior familiarization. But, having mastered, you get a wide range of control functionality for the player and headset.
Gear IconX 2018 is a great headphone model for fans of the brand and all lovers of high-quality true wireless at an adequate price. As much as $40 cheaper than Apple AirPods, but they sound better and win in terms of functionality.
