One of the first autofocus "swallows" of the Korean "breed" from Samyang, released to match Sony's full-frame mirrorless cameras. The lens belongs to the guard of wide-angle optics. The focal length of 14 mm is a clear confirmation of this. The aperture of the model has a 7-blade design, its maximum open aperture is f / 2.8. The lens uses an optical scheme according to the formula "14 elements in 10 groups".

It includes aspherical lenses to suppress chromatic aberrations and has a multi-coated lens to provide high image micro-contrast across the entire field of the frame. The Samyang 14mm f/2.8 AF FE is focused on sharpness from a distance of 20 cm. The body of the lens is metal, it comes with a petal hood. Light filters with a diameter of 67 mm will need to be purchased separately. This size is widely used in the park of optics for Sony full-frame mirrorless cameras. It weighs exactly "half a kilo" wide, the dimensions of its body are 96x87 mm (diameter and length, respectively).
