A dandy in terms of appearance and modest in terms of electronic hardware: the smartphone was created more to draw attention to his person than to perform serious tasks. However, the components installed on board the device (a 4-core chip from MediaTek paired with 2 GB of RAM) show decent performance in everyday use scenarios. The built-in memory of the Sony Xperia L1 Dual got 16 GB with the possibility of increasing free space by installing it in a separate microSD storage slot (regardless of the seats for two SIM cards).
The bottom end of the rectangular case of the smartphone is crowned with a double-sided USB Type-C port. A 13-megapixel main module and a 5-megapixel selfie camera with wide-angle optics (22 mm full frame equivalent) are responsible for the photographic capabilities of the model. The smartphone is not equipped with a fingerprint scanner, but an NFC chip is hidden inside it, which is useful for making contactless payments.
The first generation of Sony Xperia L, which entered the market in 2013, has nothing at all to do with the current representative of the L smartphone line. Both devices are related only by the equipment with an NFC chip, in other respects we see two complete opposites.
Recognizable features
Sony mobile gadgets are easily recognizable among their peers by their rectangular features in appearance. Was no exception to this rule and Sony Xperia L1, which is dressed in an angular "suit" of soft-touch plastic. About 75% of the front panel area of the device is occupied by a large 5.5-inch display with narrow side frames, as well as a characteristically wide forehead and chin. The picture is displayed on the screen in not the highest resolution (1280x720 pixels), however, the factory calibration of the IPS-matrix, on the basis of which the display is built, is made at a height.
Personal Information
The smartphone belongs to a small detachment of state employees who borrowed a newfangled USB Type-C port from older brothers with support for two-way cable connection. But for some reason, the model is deprived of a fingerprint scanner, so you will need to protect personal data from unauthorized access in the old fashioned way — by resorting to a password or pattern. In the built-in memory of the smartphone with a total volume of 16 GB, a little more than half (9 GB) is allocated for storing user data, since the gadget was “brought up” with support for expanding free space by installing a microSD flash drive without prejudice to the occupancy of slots for 2 SIM cards.
overclocked chip
The work of the Sony Xperia L1 is “conducted” by the overclocked MediaTek MT6737 chip with the prefix T (Turbo) in the name. In conjunction with 2 GB of RAM, the hardware of the smartphone scores 38K points during the AnTuTu test, which, given the class of the device, is quite a worthy result. "Heavy" games of such a hardware, of course, are too tough, but it handles with ordinary tasks with a bang.
energy saving
The cameras on the smartphone's armament (13 MP main photo module and wide-angle front camera with a resolution of 5 MP) take good pictures in good lighting conditions. Claims can sometimes be presented only to the detail at the edges of the frame. Effective energy-saving algorithms deserve special respect, thanks to which, on a single charge of a modest 2620 mAh battery, the model is able to work fruitfully for 2 days in a row.
