Due to power outages, I needed to purchase a new router to replace the powerful TP Link AX5400, as the UPS could not handle the load. Therefore, energy efficiency was the priority. I did not consider routers from AliExpress because I had a bad experience. I was choosing between TP Link AX1800 and this Tenda TX12 Pro. I opted for Tenda because, at a +/- similar price, it had better functionality. Overall, I am satisfied with my choice. The device operates smoothly. It consumes 12W from the power supply, but in reality, it's even less. There is a coverage nuance with Wi-Fi 5GHz in the far room due to a structural wall. However, this was expected, as only Xiaomi with Chinese firmware was able to catch the signal in that corner. There were no issues with settings. I saw the Tenda interface for the first time, but I set it up quickly. By the way, there is a good branded app for phones. New firmware updates arrive regularly. Interestingly, besides installing firmware, I did not have to reboot the router, while with previous Xiaomi and TP Link devices, I had to perform a reset periodically. I should note that I have the TX12 Pro V2.0, which is officially supplied to the Ukrainian market. There is also a first version with a more powerful hardware part for China, but it also has an 18W power supply, keep that in mind. 1. Price/performance ratio 2. Good design 3. 2.4GHz Wi-Fi coverage 4. Energy efficiency, consumes 12W 1. 2.4GHz Wi-Fi coverage 2. Only 3 LAN outputs ![]() |
