Gaming keyboards from 2E are not much different from other budget membrane keyboards for graphics card fans. All of them are well assembled, use a classic wired connection and are often equipped with simple RGB lighting. Most of them are designed in a compact or ultra-compact format. Models with a full-fledged Num block and optional multimedia keys were released in this line mainly until 2021.

Perhaps the main charm of the 2E Gaming series lies in the tempting ratio between price and quality. Typically, ratings for these models fall on the spectrum between “not bad” and “excellent,” standing out due to the high build quality, the use of durable plastic, and similar little things that are not immediately noticeable. Of the additional features, backlighting is usually supported, that’s all. At the same time, the cost of the average model hardly exceeds $15.

However, there are exceptions to the rules. So, after the boom in mechanical keyboards that occurred several years ago, 2E decided to keep up with fashion and released several mechanical options. The most popular of them turned out to be the ultra-compact model 2E KG370, devoid of a Num block, which is based on budget blue/brown switches from Gateron, connects to a PC or laptop via a USB cable and boasts the presence of a simple RGB backlight. Considering the official price is under $50, it could be a pretty interesting candidate for a first-ever mechanical keyboard.
