The 24-inch gaming monitor from the AOC brand is a solution bridging the entry-level and mid-range segments. This model is primarily targeted at undemanding or budget-conscious computer game enthusiasts who are satisfied with the Full HD resolution (1920 by 1080 pixels) and relatively small screen size. The display is based on an IPS panel with wide viewing angles, standard static contrast (1000:1), brightness (300 nits), and formal HDR support.
For gamers, the AOC 24G4XE monitor offers fast response times (1 ms gray-to-gray and 0.5 ms MPRT), high refresh rates (180 Hz regardless of the video signal source connection interface), and support for adaptive synchronization (Adaptive-Sync and NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible technologies). Additional gaming features include not only a profile mode but also presets for different genres (sports simulators, RPGs, shooters, etc.), a Shadow Control option that brightens dark scenes, and the display of an FPS counter and crosshair. Notably, there is a good color gamut coverage of 130% of the sRGB space and over 93% of Adobe RGB. Equipment details include a pair of built-in 2-watt speakers, a basic stand that adjusts only for tilt, and includes cables for both DisplayPort and HDMI.

Adaptive Sync
The monitor is equipped with a 23.8-inch Fast IPS panel. It delivers a quick response time (from 0.5ms MPRT and from 1ms GtG), a high refresh rate of 180Hz, and supports Adaptive-Sync as well as NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible. These technologies aim to eliminate input lag and screen tearing during video signal transmission from the computer to the screen.
Expanded Color Gamut
This model features an expanded color gamut - more than 130% of the sRGB spectrum and about 93% of the DCI-P3 space. This makes the monitor an excellent choice for graphic work and photo editing. The AOC 24G4XE's gaming features are accessible via the G-Menu software, which allows you to adjust display modes, display a crosshair overlay, fps counter, and brighten overly dark scenes (Shadow Control).
Ergonomics
The monitor screen can be adjusted for tilt forward and backward (from -5° to +23°). Other adjustments are not provided. The VESA 100x100 mm mount offers more flexibility in screen placement, for which a bracket needs to be purchased separately. The monitor also includes two 2-watt speakers, and cables for connection via DisplayPort and HDMI are included.
This monitor completely met my expectations. The image is gorgeous. The colors, contrast, and viewing angles are top-notch. The built-in sound, to be honest, was disappointing, but that's not critical for me because I don't use it at all. The speakers here are more for show than for actual use - they shouldn't be turned on, except maybe to check if they work at all.
In all other aspects, the monitor is just great. If you need Full HD with a quality IPS panel for work or even gaming, this is an excellent choice.
