I used it for a couple of months, then switched to Nikon. I liked the sharpness and juiciness of the picture even on a whale lens, though with good natural lighting. Very simple and easy to set up with programmed modes that switch through the mode wheel. Video recording function Low sensitivity sensor Slow video processor, and continuous shooting 3fps Weak battery ![]() |

My husband, knowing about my passion for photography, gifted it to me for my birthday. To be honest, I didn't ask for such an expensive gift, but it was very pleasant. And when I started taking photos, I realized that the compact camera I had been using until now was just trivial. The photos taken with the DSLR are not just better; they are completely different. The quality of the photos, compared to a compact "point-and-shoot" with 12MP, is very pleasant. The resolution is much higher, here it’s 18 megapixels, but it’s not just about the quantity, it’s about the quality. When you enlarge a "point-and-shoot" photo, the pixels tend to blend into groups with smooth color transitions. In this camera, individual points are more independent and the color transitions are significantly sharper. So even if you crop a 1200D photo down to the "point-and-shoot" 12MP, the level of detail will still be significantly better. There's a lot of different settings and configurations. I've been figuring them out for three months now and have understood more than half of them )) But even without all these numerous buttons, switches, and joysticks, the camera shoots excellently in "auto" mode. I'm thrilled with the two included lenses. With them, I can take beautiful wide-angle panoramas and capture distant objects with powerful zoom. After the old camera, this one seems too big and heavy. With the telephoto lens, the weight is almost a kilogram, and it's already inconvenient to hold it with one hand. Although the body is made comfortably and fits well in the hand. The "point-and-shoot" had a touchscreen, but here it's just a regular one, albeit with good resolution. It's a pity, it was very convenient with the touchscreen. |

Choosing, I wanted to get an inexpensive, but modern SLR camera, which will please both the number of manual settings and quick shots in AUTO mode. I bought an EF-S 18-55mm IS II lens and am completely satisfied with the choice of camera))) The first pleasant impressions you experience when you pick up the camera. High-quality plastic with rubber inserts fits nicely and securely in the palm of your hand. The camera is very light (as for a DSLR), weighs less than half a kilogram without a lens, about 700 grams with an EF-S 18-55mm IS II lens. The sizes are also quite moderate.
The pictures are excellent, with good detail and color reproduction. White balance is almost always correct, misses happen in artificial light, but thanks to the 14-bit RAW file format, most misses can be corrected in post-processing. In the dark, at high sensitivity, it starts to make noticeable noise only at 1600 units. You can shoot at higher ISOs, post-processing with noise reduction completely solves the problem. Able to write full-fledged and fairly high-quality Full HD video. The diopter correction was very useful, otherwise it would be difficult to use the optical viewfinder with my myopia. Weak battery. I had to buy a second one almost immediately.
Pretty slow continuous shooting, no more than three frames per second. Focus Slowness in Live View use Canon EOS 1200D body month or more |
