A large and quite heavy camera, more studio-oriented than reportorial, full-frame camera. I use the 5DS together with the Tamron SP 15-30mm f/2.8 "wide-angle" lens for interior and architectural photography. The images are used for producing high-quality printing.

50 full-fledged megapixels on a modern full-format matrix is a hellishly attractive combination for a true professional. 8700 pixels on the long side allow you to scribble ruthlessly, anyway, the rest will be enough))) The other side of the coin is the gigantic size of RAW files and the corresponding requirements for memory cards and computer power for processing. By the way, the camera has a fast USB 3.0 standard, which saves time on copying files. Noise appears in the pictures when the ISO 1600 threshold is crossed, everything is more or less normal up to these values. Autofocus is good, not all reporting cameras work so clearly. Improved mirror vibration dampening system. Here it is simply necessary, because. any vibration noticeably lubricates the frame. Interesting Time Lapse Movie mode. I experimented several times with shooting urban landscapes, I liked the results. Additional information in the viewfinder is convenient and useful. Two slots for CF and SD flash drives.

Information in the viewfinder is displayed in black and without backlight, making it very difficult to see against a black background.
Extremely high sensitivity to vibration. However, with such a high-pixel matrix, it couldn't be otherwise. A tripod solves it.
