A full-frame SLR for subjects, studios and advertisers who need maximum image detail. It's no joke, the camera matrix has a resolution of 50.6 MP, and even lacks an anti-aliasing filter (namely, in the version of the R model). The SLR is powered by two DIGIC 6 processors at once, which operate on huge amounts of data in the blink of an eye. The fact is that the weight of one RAW file can reach 60 MB, photos in JPEG format — 20 MB.

The autofocus of the camera has 61 focus sensors. Of these, 41 points have a cruciform shape. The sensitivity range of such a high-resolution matrix is relatively small and equals from 100 to 6400 ISO units in standard mode. Video shooting is clearly not the strong point of the Canon EOS 5DS R body, because. videos are written on it in the maximum resolution of FullHD (1920x1080 pixels) at a modest 30 fps. From the rear, the DSLR is equipped with a 3.2-inch fixed display, which is complemented by a monochrome information screen on the upper end. The camera battery is designed for 700 shots "from refueling to refueling". In the “body” configuration, the DSLR is delivered as a bare “carcass” (i.e. without complete optics).

Great camera for studio shooting

Received at a new place of work as a working tool. I was in a slight shock, because. The combination of a full frame with a 50MP sensor is unique. I shoot, most often in the studio, sometimes nature-architecture.

Stunning quality images. Due to the absence of a low-pass filter, the image gains additional clarity and sharpness. Potentially, without this filter, there could be an issue with moiré, but since it hasn't occurred even once during my six months of use, the problem seems more theoretical than real. The autofocus is very similar to that of the 5D Mark III, just as fast and precise. The metering is very accurate, with no complaints. Usable ISO goes up to 3200 inclusive. But for studio work, optimal up to 800. RAW files at maximum resolution are huge, 60-80MB each. To process such images, it's advisable to use an "up-to-date" computer with a quad-core processor and a large SSD. When handled in Lightroom, an unreal amount of detail can be extracted from this camera's RAW files.

With this camera, it makes sense to use only fairly expensive Canon lenses from the L-series. Using anything simpler is useless, as the 50MP sensor's potential won't be revealed. The notorious "camera shake" is present. Shooting handheld at 1/50 is virtually impossible, and stabilization doesn't help. Shots at 1/100 with stabilization look somewhat okay, but fully sharp handheld shots with stabilization only start at 1/200, and without stabilization, at 1/400. Therefore, when shooting "in the field," you must keep a close eye on the shutter speed.

Отличная камера для студии, для макросъемки и для пейзажной съемки,для съемки архитектуры, для репортажа она не очень удобна, хоть и может быть использована, если Вам нужна высокая детализация в снимках Ваш выбор эта камера,страхи с шевеленкой и съемкой только со штатива очень сильно преувеличены- необходимо просто поставить «бесшумный режим», использовать объективы со стабилизатором и через меню выбрать максимальную выдержку короче, нежели 1/фокусное. Тогда камерой можно работать «в поле» вполне комфортно.

главное достоинство — разрешение, а оно составляет 50 Мпикс (8198 х 5550 пикс), второе достоинство отличный автофокус.

не обходимо время,что бы чуть привыкнуть к камере, разобраться в ее настройках и изменить технику фотографирования учитывая многопиксельность этой камеры.
