A versatile full-frame zoom lens for mirrorless optics with the new Canon RF bayonet mount. The model is rightfully classified as a representative Luxury class, as indicated by the letter L in its extended name. The main character trait of the lens is a constant maximum aperture of f / 4 throughout the wide zoom range from 24 to 105 mm. And you don’t have to hide behind too much — the picture with the Canon RF 24-105mm f / 4L IS USM “rings” with sharpness across the entire field of the frame from the very open aperture.
A highly effective optical stabilizer is installed inside the model (compensates for up to 5 shutter speeds) and a Nano USM autofocus motor, characterized by noiselessness and smooth focus (videographers will appreciate it). A programmable control ring and an electronic focus ring are installed on the "facade" armament of the lens. When zooming, a small “trunk” comes out of the body of the product. Nevertheless, it will not draw in dust — the model is claimed to be dust and moisture resistant. 77 mm "landing size" light filters are suitable for the lens. The weight of the model is exactly 700 g.

In my opinion, a very successful lens. First of all, due to its sharpness at any of the focal lengths. She just doesn't change. although there is sometimes a difference at the edges of the frame. It is sharpest at aperture of about 8.0, at 4.0 the sharpness is two times less. It's not very scary. maybe even with such a diaphragm it is enough. HA no, well, maybe sometimes, in very difficult shooting conditions, and then, they will need to be purposefully searched for. A very interesting solution with three adjustment rings. One for zoom, the second for focus, the third for changing camera settings (whatever you set). It's super convenient, I use it all the time. There is a nuance - the trunk still leaves, which is very frustrating ... But, the lens does not spin, at least something pleases. The lens itself is completely made of plastic, only the bayonet is made of metal. But this is a common practice for kenon, so I'm not worried. I really liked how the lens behaves in backlight. Details are not lost, contrast is maintained. There is a definite plus here. You can also write about the stub, but I rarely use it, so I have nothing to say - it is there, it works, it seems to be effective, because I make the shutter speed a little shorter than before. Great image for a station wagon. In principle, the working aperture is 4.0. There are almost no HA, maybe there are, but very rarely they appear. Ease of control through three rings. There is a lock button. There are no problems with sharpness at any focal length. Great against the light. The trunk comes out .... Which is bad. A regular universal lens, don't expect anything extraordinary from it—no outstanding sharpness, no pleasant bokeh, no miracle stabilization. The photos only look pleasing on the camera screen; when viewed on a normal screen, the joy immediately fades. Sold it. If you want a universal RF lens, consider the RF 24-240. There you will get 240mm on the long end with the same construction and stabilization, with similar size and weight, and for less money. The constant aperture of 4 in the Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens won't give you a quality boost. Relatively sharp in the center, universal focal lengths, constant aperture - A lot of micro-blur, possibly my unsteady hands are to blame, but at Photowebexpo's test with the Canon R5 and this lens, they also noted that in most cases, objects not in the center of the lens appear with micro-blur. Micro-blur occurs both with stabilization and without it. Consequently, where's the sharpness supposed to come from... - Just lackluster bokeh. Often even rather unpleasant bokeh.
