The product from the Highlander brand is not a full-fledged sleeping bag, but a bivouac bag, that is, a compact alternative to a tent. It is able to protect against adverse weather conditions when sleeping overnight, including precipitation, because the outer layer is made of AB-TEX ripstop polyester fabric with a polyurethane coating, which has a good water resistance of 4000 mm water column.

You can use the Highlander Kestrel Rip-Stop Bivvy Bag, for example, when hiking lightly (the model itself weighs only 370 grams, which is significantly less than any tent), including together with a hammock (so as not to sleep on the ground). Inside you can place a full-fledged cocoon sleeping bag and, if necessary, a sleeping mat. Here this can be done in rather large sizes - the total length of the model is 240 cm and the width at the shoulders is 90 cm (it tapers to 60 cm in the leg area). Additional advantages include compactness when folded - the dimensions are 21x9x9 cm, which in terms of volume does not exceed 2 liters. Other features of the bivouac bag include taped seams and the presence of an elastic cord for tightening and reducing heat loss (there is no zipper here).
