Compatible with motherboards equipped with LGA 1200 processor socket and Intel 400 series chipsets. Unlike previous 9th generation top-end consumer CPUs, these processors have improved internal design (reduced silicon die thickness from 800 microns to 500 microns to facilitate heat dissipation) and uses more advanced Turbo Boost Max 3.0 power management technology.
