i like the FLIP5 because of the low frequencies, first of all. Secondly, I like the design, it's beautifully made with good water resistance and autonomy that is sufficient for me. The strap is nice, and the rubberized passive radiators and USB-C charging are impressive. The battery indicator is also impressive. For bike trips, it fits in a cup holder, making it convenient to ride and listen. I liked the outdoor mode feature because the bass is even more. The 4800 mAh is also a good battery indicator, as the battery performs better in cold weather. Overall, the speaker is fantastic in use. It does occasionally disconnect from the laptop, but I think that's an issue with the laptop, not the speaker. Excellent sound, long battery life, easy to connect. Price, you cannot charge devices like previous models  Yuliya: use JBL Flip 5 few months |
As soon as I bought the speaker, I was very surprised by the build quality and the form factor itself, I liked it very much and plus I was looking for just a small speaker so that I could take it everywhere, but I found a couple of not critical but minuses. For example, up to a volume of 30% there is very little bass in comparison with the sony xb 31 or sony xb 40, I would like to have more of them at low volume. I also want to note that, as for me, it is rather strange that the speaker sometimes sinks in water, or floats, but the bluetooth does not catch. My opinion is that such a speaker is worth taking if you like the shape. But if you are interested in sound, I would advise you to take sony xb 20,30,40 or the next versions of these speakers. If you have any questions - write Good sound at volume values from 30% to 80% after 80 low frequencies remain at the same level. Very good build quality. Sound character
In 2019, the range of JBL wireless speakers was replenished with the Flip 5 model. This is a moderately vociferous representative of the portable acoustics detachment in a barrel case with a fabric braid. The speaker has only one emitter, but it perfectly transmits bass, provides a clear sound of the “middle” and elaboration of high frequencies. With playing the lion's share of modern genres of music, JBL Flip 5 handles with a solid "five".
Wireless connection
The wireless connection of the column with a smartphone is stable within a radius of about 10 m. Moreover, in one sitting, two mobile devices can be tied to it at once, alternately switching between them if the company has different tastes. Instead of the JBL Connect + function, the models “brought up” the newly minted synchronization option with their own kind PartyBoost. The only pity is that it does not fit with previous generations of the column.
Long battery life
The battery life of the Bluetooth speaker remained at the level of its predecessor in the face of the JBL Flip 4 — about 12 hours of playback of audio tracks at medium volume. Also, the model retained water protection according to the IPX7 standard(despite the open charging port). Henceforth, the energy reserves in the JBL Flip 5 battery tanks are replenished through a symmetrical USB-C connector (from “zero to hundreds” in just 2.5 hours).
