The iron does not support automatic shutdown, but this is partly compensated by a thoughtful indication and a multi-level security system with a thermal fuse, a pressure sensor and a safety valve. But, if you want a semi-professional solution with thoughtful ergonomics and flexible settings, then the additional payment is more than justified.
