The drink prepared in this machine is an authentic Americano coffee (this is the principle of preparation that is most widespread in South and North America).

The extraction process in the Philips HD 7461 coffee maker is carried out at atmospheric pressure and a temperature close to 90-92 °C. Hot water in the form of drops is filtered through a layer of ground coffee, which is loaded into a reusable mesh and disposable paper filter (type 1x4, aka No. 4, purchased separately). The strength and tonic ability of the prepared drink depends on the fineness of the grinding and the variety of grains. You can also adjust the flavor intensity by decreasing/increasing the amount of ground coffee to be loaded. The volume of the water tank (1.25 L) is sufficient for preparing up to 15 small or 10 large portions. The special Aroma Twister nozzle located inside the coffee pot mixes the incoming coffee, ensuring the same taste of the drink from the first to the last cup.
