It doesn't require any particular effort or pressure. The necessary effect is achieved through temperature. Here, in addition, fabric types are indicated alongside their corresponding temperature levels. In cases where high temperature is insufficient, I use steam or even a steam shot. I don't know what system is used here, but scale doesn't fall out onto the clothes or leave dirty marks (this used to happen often with old irons). The non-stick coating seems to be of quite good quality. When my husband helps, he tends to overdo things sometimes))) but not with this iron.
