The advanced iron with a steam generator combines stylish design, modern technology and versatility. Philips has made sure that the ironing routine does not give you a hassle, because all the main work will be done by the iron. It has a high output of 2700W, heats up in just two minutes and features a 6-layer stainless steel SteamGlide Elite soleplate, including a layer of titanium.

This outsole is durable, slip resistant and scratch resistant. Also, the manufacturer has implemented the OptimalTEMP technology: you do not need to select the settings, the preset temperature is safe for any materials suitable for ironing. Moreover, the fabric will not deteriorate even if you leave the included iron right on it. When it comes to ironing with steam, the Philips PerfectCare 8000 Series PSG 8040 offers continuous steam at 170 g/min or a powerful burst of steam (600 g/min) to effectively remove even the most wrinkled creases on the toughest fabrics.

The removable 1.8L tank provides up to 2 hours of continuous use, the light indicator notifies you when it needs to be “refilled”, and due to its low weight (only 800g), the iron is suitable for vertical steaming of curtains or clothes. At the same time, no extra actions are required from you: the motion sensor detects when the soleplate moves over the fabric and automatically delivers steam. Also among the pluses are a system for collecting scale in a special Easy De-Calc Plus container, an auto-off function for an unattended iron and a hose storage compartment.
