The compact handheld flashlight of the famous Philips brand belongs to solutions at the junction of the initial and middle price segments. It is positioned as a model for everyday use in urban environments and outside the city. Its metal (aluminium) body is impact resistant, meaning it will survive drops onto hard surfaces from a low height. It also meets the IPX4 protection standard, which means it can be operated during rain and additionally not protected from water droplets.

An LED with a reflector is proposed as a light source. Together they provide a maximum light output of 170 lumens. Flashlight Philips SFL4001T does not provide for the ability to adjust the brightness of the glow, and in the only available mode, the lighting range can reach 180 meters, while the battery life should be close to 6 hours. Power requires four AAA batteries, which are included in the package. Among other features, it is worth highlighting the moderate weight, which slightly exceeds 150 grams.
