Black Widow 3.0
The Razer BlackWidow V3 TKL is the third iteration of Razer's popular esports keyboard. The key features of this model are a compact body without a dedicated numeric keypad, spectacular zonal backlighting with Razer Chroma synchronization and a pumped-out key mechanics built on the basis of in-house switches. Well, the main innovation of the third version was the new Doubleshot ABS keycaps, which were created using high-pressure double molding technology.
Yellow mechanical switches of our own production
The keyboard is built on the basis of not quite ordinary yellow mechanical switches with linear travel. In the company's catalog, it is both the fastest and at the same time the quietest switch with an unusual lo-fi click. The actuation force of such a switch is 45 grams, the stroke length does not exceed 3.5 millimetres, and there is virtually no return stroke to the reset point. Feels like a cross between red and silver Cherry switches with their shortened linear travel and quiet click. Add to this an increased polling rate (approx: 1000 Hz) and you get a very interesting example of a mechanical keyboard with impressive control accuracy and minimal input lags.
Razer Chroma RGB lighting
Outwardly, the third BlackWidow is practically no different from its predecessors. It's still the same neat Skeleton keyboard with slightly beveled edges, a sturdy massive frame (the model weighs 850 grams) and proprietary Razer Chroma RGB backlighting, which can be customized to your heart's content in the proprietary Razer Synapse application. You can also assign macros there, link individual kits to each specific game, etc. It's a pity that there is no armrest, as in BlackWidow Elite models. It is unlikely that a piece of plastic with a softtouch coating would greatly affect the price of the keyboard.
