A good phone for its price if you don't trust the Chinese manufacturers. Basically, it's a good phone as long as you don't have high expectations or goals, it will bring positive emotions. I've been using it for about a week and I can say I haven't regretted my choice. The price-quality ratio here is spot on. - Definitely the battery - for me, with moderate usage like Instagram, Telegram, and occasional casual games, it lasts almost 2 days (42-45 hours). - Processor - if you don’t push it with maxed-out PUBG, it's really fast, especially for messaging, web browsing, Instagram, and YouTube. It keeps background apps running for a long time (4 GB of RAM is enough for now). - The screen has a good brightness range, so even on sunny days, it won’t be hard to see anything. - The scanner works almost every time (99.8%) on the first try and very quickly. - The One UI interface is very pleasant, well-balanced, and optimized. - There’s fast charging, though calling it "fast" is a stretch; but for such a massive battery, going from 15-17% to 100% takes about 2 hours. Still, it’s acceptable if the phone then lasts 2 days (and that’s without power-saving mode enabled). - One of the biggest advantages is NFC!!! God, I don’t know how I lived without it before! It works instantly, without lags or delays. I’ll say this: I won’t look at phones without NFC anymore. However you can’t exactly call a compact smartphone, it is weighty and not too thin (9.7 mm). But this is justified by a capacious battery, which is the main feature of the Galaxy M series. A 5000 mAh battery is installed here, one charge of which should be enough for 20 hours of browsing the Internet and 19 hours of video playback. With normal use, this is about two days of battery life, or even more. 15 W charging is supported, which, although called fast, takes about two hours to fully restore energy.

Apparently, after Chinese companies began to successfully conquer the smartphone market, Samsung learned how to make excellent state employees without overpaying for the brand. Although the competition in this segment is strong and there are numerous models with excellent characteristics, the Galaxy M12 not only fully justifies its cost, but also has advanced features that are not often found in such devices. The 6.5-inch PLS display boasts a decent margin of brightness and an increased refresh rate of up to 90 Hz, which makes the picture smoother. There are no problems with performance either: the proprietary Exynos 850 processor, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal (though not the fastest) memory are responsible for this. Applications run quickly, the interface does not freeze, and the smartphone can also surf the web, and basic tasks, and games, albeit not the most demanding ones.
The front camera of the device is 8-megapixel, and the rear includes as many as four modules: a 48 MP main sensor, a 5 MP ultra-wide lens and 2 MP sensors for macro photography and background blur in portrait shots. Cameras of stars from the sky are not enough and you should definitely not expect any superpowers from an inexpensive smartphone. In addition, the gadget is equipped with a triple tray for two SIM cards and a memory card up to 1 TB, a smart side fingerprint scanner, not the fastest Wi-Fi 4, NFC (thanks to the manufacturer for this) and a 3.5 mm jack, so you can use both wireless and regular wired headphones.
To sum up, a smartphone is suitable as an additional working tube, for children, modern elderly parents — yes, for any user who wants to save on purchases and does not need powerful hardware and a camera, like professional cameras.
