Here again they started talking about the future rise in the price of natural gas, and once again I was glad that last year I replaced my old gas boiler with this model. After all, efficiency is by far one of the most important points for any household appliance. And in this parameter, this boiler is simply magnificent. First of all, I was seduced by the fact that Vaillant is a private German company and the most critical parts of the design of this double-circuit condensing boiler are the heat exchangers made not just anywhere, but in Germany. But, in general, the main advantage of this model is quite different. In addition to high power (up to 28 kW), it has outstanding efficiency. This is achieved through a more complex and thoughtful design, including two heat transfer stages. First, the hot products of gas combustion heat up the water, and then the same flue gases are cooled to the temperature of the beginning of condensation of the water vapor contained in them and give off this heat as well. As a result, real savings in comparison with a conventional boiler are obtained in the region of 7-8%. I heat about 158 square meters and the savings on such an area are quite serious. The boiler is equipped with a convenient digital control unit that can be integrated into the "smart home" system and forced exhaust of combustion products. It is necessary to remove condensate, and it is released up to 1.5-2 liters per hour. The declared efficiency of 107% is pure marketing scam. Every schoolchild who has listened to a physics teacher in the classroom knows that the efficiency cannot be 100%. And what "marketers" take as 100% is the efficiency of a conventional boiler. In any case, the honest efficiency of condensing structures does not rise above 96-97%; this is impossible in domestic structures. |
