This hard drive has a capacity of 1000 GB (1 TB) and a moderate rotation speed of magnetic platters of 5400 rpm. It features a simple and practical plastic case design, modest dimensions, low power consumption and support for the Green Button function.
When installing proprietary software, this function can program the suspension of hard drive rotation during idle time. You can set the stop time from 10 to 120 minutes (in 10-minute increments) or double-click the Green Button shortcut to immediately stop rotation. There is a utility included that supposedly sets the drive's shutdown time, but it doesn't work for me. I couldn't run this utility on two computers. Really buggy software.
