The tool was initially “sharpened” for one-handed work. It is very light (only 1.2 kg is two hundred grams lighter than average) and quite compact. The wide start key can be pressed with any finger. The shape of the case is made in such a way that the device lies comfortably in the hand both in a horizontal position and in a vertical one. Therefore, with a Metabo screwdriver, you can work a whole shift at a construction site without much stress and, having stuffed your hand, spend less than a second on each screw. The professional approach is felt in other details. For example, the power cable is very long (5 m), its sheath is made of high quality elastic rubber. The cam clutch works very clearly and almost silently. The depth stop is adjustable with an accuracy of 0.25 mm, and the limiting nozzle, if necessary, can be removed in one motion. But the reverse switch is located inconveniently and moves too easily, but this is the only remark on ergonomics that can be put on the mind of the manufacturer.

This model is perfect for professional builders and finishers who work with self-tapping screws up to 5 mm in diameter. Among other Metabo screwdrivers, it is the best suited for working with drywall, fiberboard and other sheet materials. Thanks to a good (as for this class of devices) torque of 15 Nm, it can quickly screw self-tapping screws not only into thin aluminium profiles, but also into a wooden frame made of dense wood.

Ergonomics of the tool is good, but not without remarks. On the one hand, it has a comfortable rubberized handle and a wide start button, thanks to which you can tighten the screws in any position with the proper level of comfort for the user. But there is no such banal and penny detail as a hook for hanging on a belt. Well, where do you order to put a screwdriver when both hands are busy?

The manufacturer carefully packed the accessories necessary to get started right away in a case with a screwdriver: an adjustable limiter, a magnetic bit holder and a couple of adapters. And to use the tool as a wrench, just buy a set of socket heads with hex shank. Screwdriver Bosch GSR 6-45 is designed for those who want to perform large volumes of finishing work in a short time. It allows you to work at the highest possible pace. And if you buy a Bosch MA 55 store nozzle and stock up on self-tapping screws on tapes, then you can tighten 50 screws in one sitting without stops and pauses (although such an accessory is not cheap - about $ 175).

But speed also has a downside. If the profile is not of very high quality (for example, the manufacturer saved on metal and made it too thin), then the screw, rotating at a speed of 4500 rpm, will turn a large hole in it, and the limiter clutch will not work. Therefore, Bosch GSR 6-45 is not suitable for working with low-quality profiles.

The tool inside and out is as solid as other products from the Bosch brand. It has an ergonomic body with rubberized inserts, effective engine cooling and good protection of the "insides" from dust. The almost silent and very well-functioning clutch allows you to drive the screws into the drywall with precision. The screw driving depth is adjustable in 0.25 mm increments.
