It's always nice to have a well-made thing in your hands. My first digital camera was Canon's A610 Soapbox. But requests are growing and a month ago I bought my first EOS 600D DSLR complete with an 18-55mm IS II lens. The camera is made in Taiwan, which in itself is very good. In everything from the resolution of pictures and ending with the ability to shoot video, you can see the level of performance. The picture quality is excellent. A large 18MP matrix gives excellent results. I liked the complete lens with stabilization for its versatility. Enough for the first time. Nice body materials, there is a feeling of reliability. Despite the size, it has a comfortable grip. Management available. Another convenience is the swivel screen. Not to say that you need it often, but sometimes it helps. The battery is quite capacious, although the device is still quite new and it's too early to talk about batteries. Now the frosts have begun, then the winter filming will show :))) The ability to shoot HD-video with 60 frames / sec. True, autofocus does not work at the same time (or maybe I set something wrong in the settings) ((( The sensor produces noise when shooting at high ISO. At 800 it's still tolerable, but at 1600 you just want to cry. Essentially, the issue can be fixed with photo post-processing, but the detail suffers. It's quite heavy, you wouldn't just take it with you just in case. |
Great for such a price The quality of photos and videos is really good. Buy non-kit glass, at least Tamron 17-50 even without stabilization. Price Almost 60D, but more about that below. Of the downsides - the manufacturer is from Taiwan, I had nuances with memory cards. I also worked with a Japanese model - during long video recordings, a dead pixel appeared. The grip is uncomfortable in a large hairy hand, the handle size is more suited for a girl. And the biggest downside - the quality of the body - it's a piece of plastic. ![]() |
I was the happy owner of a Sony DSC-H9 camera (a decent compact), with a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens and a focal length of 31 - 465 mm. The color reproduction was perfect (natural), and the detailing was simply delightful. Over 5 years, I took 52,300 photos. Indoors with incandescent lamps, it started to fail... Decided to sell and step up in photo quality. Sold it. Bought a Canon EOS 600D kit with a Canon 18-55 IS II lens. In two days, I got everything out of this setup, took 715 landscape and portrait shots. I was just in "SHOCK". My wife immediately suggested selling it and buying a modern (compact) Sony with a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens. The Canon EOS 600D kit has: 1) Unnatural color reproduction (not lively), artificial 2) Detailing is 50% worse than the Sony DSC-H9, with many settings 3) Stabilization is only optical, no electronic 4) No continuous autofocus during video recording. Turns out, we didn't step up, we "PAID" the money. Four times more expensive, no quality gained. Found a DSLR expert who shoots weddings with a Canon EOS 60D, and showed him the best photos from Sony DSC-H9 and Canon EOS 600D. His conclusion: what did you expect with a kit lens, then showed his two lenses worth $6000. If you used a Carl Zeiss lens, nothing compares to worse quality. Just an ISSUE. Now I need to save up for a lens to at least match the level of the Sony DSC-H9. A step was made, need to keep going. Good luck, everyone. The carcass is normal. Canon 18-55 IS II lens against mobile phones - taxis. And for high-quality sneakers, it only lowers the Canon EOS 600D rating ![]() |

Basic+ mode is able to change the atmosphere of the frame and create the right mood with one of eight functions, including Warm Colours, Cool Colours and Rich Colours.
The "Basic+" mode has two types of settings:
- Shooting according to the atmosphere : Adjust the exposure compensation and white balance according to the preset style to capture the atmosphere or tone of the image
- Shooting according to the light or scene type : A simplified form of white balance adjustment that allows those new to digital photography to adjust settings based on simpler terms such as "daylight", "shade", "cloudy", "sunset", incandescent lamp, fluorescent lamp.
- Fisheye Effect: Reproduces the barrel distortion of a similar lens. The effect can be adjusted. Depending on the level of distortion, you can crop the outer edges of the image.
