Deepcool Gamma Archer BigPro (DP-MCAC-ABGP)
Videos 2Photos 4 |
Affordable and efficient CPU cooler with tall aluminium heatsink, copper base and PWM controlled 120mm fan. It is positioned as a product of the base price category of 2017, designed to replace not the most efficient standard cooling systems for Intel and AMD processors with heat dissipation up to 125 W. Due to its low cost, it is one of the best choices for equipping universal home and low-cost gaming systems.
It is an improved version of the Deepcool Gamma Archer Pro model, which differs from it with a modified arrangement of aluminium radiator fins and a more efficient fan, the impeller of which can accelerate to 2000 rpm, providing an impressive air flow of up to 1.71 m3/min. High-quality hydrodynamic bearing HydroBearing provides reliability, durability and an acceptable level of noise.
An important advantage of the Deepcool Gamma Archer BigPro processor cooler is a good airflow around the socket space, which provides additional cooling for the power elements of the CPU converter. This model comes with a universal motherboard mounting kit, thanks to which the cooler is able to cool any models of AMD / Intel Mainstream processors and most Performance class CPUs that entered the market from 2005 to 2019.

Special Agent Archer
While Zalman, Cooler Master, Corsair and other famous brands were measuring muscle volume, the Chinese company Deepcool quietly, through the back door, entered the cooling systems market and quickly grabbed a big piece of the pie. And its Gamma Archer processor coolers have firmly established themselves in the top sales of low-cost cooling systems since their appearance. As the success of the Gamma Archer BigPro, which is the newest member of this line, has shown, they do not intend to give their own to Deepcool.
PWM speed control
Now let's see what makes it interesting. Despite the catchy name BigPro, this is not the largest cooling system: the fan diameter is the classic 120 mm, and the system height is 70 mm. The fan is built on the basis of a wear-resistant hydrodynamic bearing and is capable of spinning up to 2000 rpm (there is a PWM adjustment). That is, this is the most powerful Gamma Archer model. Thanks to this, the passport TDP of the model has grown to 120 TDP compared to its predecessors. However the level of noise emitted by it has also increased - at peak load it can reach 30 dB. Manufacturers of cooling systems compare it to the noise of a wall clock. But this is only at peak load. With modern processors with a TDP of 60 W, it is almost inaudible.
Passport TDP 120 W
An important advantage of the processor Archer BigPro is a wide contact pad, thanks to which it also blows around the socket space, providing additional cooling of power elements. Due to its low cost and compatibility with all current processor sockets from AMD and Intel, it will become a worthy companion for not too hot 4-core processors of the Core i3 / i5 or Ryzen 3/5 level. In principle, according to the passport, it can also cool something more powerful (TDP 120 W) like the Core i7, but we would not recommend doing this, since during automatic overclocking the processor will heat up more than necessary and reset the frequencies. We will not even talk about overclocking, such cooling systems are not designed for this.
