Well, how can you do without a drill at home? The house is panel, multi-storey, with reinforced concrete walls and ceilings, so a rotary hammer is best suited for making holes in such walls. But rotary hammers don't know how to drill accurately, and I needed that too. So I got this rotary hammer on the farm. DeWalt chose because the brand is not bad, and the prices are reasonable. This is a classic and reliable "as solid as a door" impact drill with above-average power. Of course, the impact energy is small; when working with concrete, the drill doesn't strike like a rotary hammer, it rather vibrates. But the result is the same, albeit not as fast. Compared to an 800-watt Bosch rotary hammer, the drilling speed is 4-5 times slower. However, at home, I've never needed to drill more than five holes at a time, and most often it's one or two holes with an 8 mm drill bit for a plastic dowel. For such tasks, this drill is more than sufficient, and I can endure the slow drilling, waiting an extra 30 seconds—just imagine ))) The drill itself is quite lightweight for its power, only 1.8 kg. It's compact in size, making it easy to handle even in slightly cramped conditions. The trigger button confidently and smoothly regulates the engine speed from 0 to 2800 rpm. It drills wood and metal with confidence. She has a key cartridge and I took it consciously, I didn’t want to mess with newfangled quick-clamps, which are not very reliable. But, to be honest, I'm not very happy with them. A carbide-tipped drill after one hole (and sometimes even earlier) starts to rotate and the cartridge has to be tightened again. |
