There isn't much of an alternative. I would like to say that it would be better to take an asus, but I can not. Basically, I liked everything, but two points are like a fly in the ointment in a barrel of honey For the price, there were no analogues for the filling. The sound is on the level, the brightness is enough. The darn joystick, I'd like to shove it somewhere for the developer. No wonder there's a separate driver for control from Windows. No stabilizer - the monitor would go blank for 2-3 seconds due to network fluctuations, which is unacceptable in games. This problem only occurred for me. An uninterruptible power supply didn't solve the issue. I never had these problems before, even on Asus. In short, the cheapness showed its signs, but even with a separate PSU, it's still cheaper. Rare monitor with built-in KVM switch
At the end of 2019, the Taiwanese manufacturer of video cards and motherboards, Gigabyte, officially ceased to be such. With the release of the Aorus line, expansion began on the market for gaming monitors, drives, RAM and other components. And already in 2020, slightly simpler and more affordable Gigabyte M and Gigabyte G gaming monitors flooded into the market. Having tried the flagship Aorus in business, we decided to test the 32-inch Gigabyte M32U monitor at the same time, which actually became the world's first gaming monitor with a physical KVM- switch, thanks to which the monitor can be simultaneously connected to several signal sources and instantly switch between them.
Super Speed IPS display
The M28U monitor is based on a high-quality Super Speed IPS matrix with a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels, which corresponds to the 4K format. Provides 90% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space and 123% coverage of the sRGB colour space and support for HDR content (DisplayHDR 400 specification). The performance is also in full order - the panel claims a response time of 1 ms (note: with MPRT), and the refresh rate is optimal 144 Hz. In turn, FreeSync technology ensures the absence of frame breaks. The stand allows you to adjust the height of the monitor, as well as change the angles of inclination and rotation of the screen. The stand has a built-in USB hub with three additional USB ports. A couple of built-in speakers complete the picture, which will come in handy if you don’t have a full-fledged audio system at hand.
Good everything except the price
The M32U is an all-around great monitor that does everything but the price. Despite the fact that the PS5 and Xbox Series X game consoles went on the market in the fall of 2020, there are still few monitors that can produce a picture in 4K with a refresh rate above 60 Hz and fully meet the requirements of the nextgen. And they are expensive. So if you need a fast 4K monitor with an HDMI 2.1 port and HDR support, you will have to pay a lot more for it. In east european retail for a 32-inch M32U they ask for a little less than a thousand dollars. For comparison, the flagship QLED monitor Samsung Odyssey G7 with 2K resolution and a regular HDMI 2.0 port can now be bought one and a half times cheaper.
