This is especially true for working pressure - it can be adjusted in a very wide range (from 20 to 180 bar), selecting the optimal force of the water jet for a particular task. Water pressure and chemical concentration are regulated by buttons located directly on the gun, and the current value of the jet force is displayed graphically on the LCD display. In addition, the mini-wash can be controlled from a smartphone on which the Karcher Home & Garden application is installed. The application contains settings for typical work scenarios (for example, car washing, garden furniture or the facade of a building). By choosing the most appropriate settings from your smartphone, you don’t have to worry that the pressure will be too high and that an excessively strong jet will damage the paintwork on your car or leave marks on wooden surfaces.
Original technical solutions for reliability and convenience
Among the interesting technical solutions implemented in the Karcher K 7 Smart Control, I would especially like to note the design of the electric motor. During operation, it is cooled by the pumped water, which almost completely eliminates the possibility of overheating of the 3000-watt motor (even when using hot water with a temperature of up to 60 ° C). Also worthy of attention is the high-performance pump, which pumps liquid at a speed of 600 l/h. According to the manufacturer’s calculations, this allows you to wash up to 60 m2 per hour of operation. The mini washer is equipped with a gun with a multifunctional Multi Jet nozzle. By turning its tip, you can change the shape of the jet (flat “fan” or voluminous “brush”) or turn on the supply of detergent from a chemical container.
An excellent device, but not without minor flaws
The Karcher brand does not need recommendations. This company has always been a leader in the production of high pressure washers and still remains a trendsetter in this industry. That is why the Karcher K 7 Smart Control has so many interesting functions and design features that make this mini washer stand out among other high-pressure machines. The only things I didn’t like were the rigidity of the hose (despite its decent length of 10 m, it does not want to fully straighten and tends to curl up into a spiral) and the “binding” to the proprietary Karcher chemicals (only Plug 'n' Clean cans, which have a specific shape and special caps).
