Cheap. However, it has been supported for more than 7 years since its release by the official team. The hardware is weak, but it is suitable for home apartment internet. Tested over time. no IPv6. No firewall. The firmware is raw and overloads the router’s CPU. It's actually scary to set it up as a router when you have a public IP and not behind NAT. Firmware v2 overloads the processor when switching tabs and just configuring the router. Overall, it worked without issues for a year. But then it got a bit tired. The CPU recently was loading up to 100% when 3 devices were connected via LAN cable and 10 devices via WiFi (phones, tablets, vacuum cleaner, lamps, camera). I often had to reboot it to bring it back to life because at 100% CPU load, it was rarely possible to access the web interface... Simplicity, doesn't overheat, value for money, 5G, gigabit after 1.5 years, on the gigabit channel, it began to load the CPU to 99-100%, which led to LAN speed shaping by half. I used the Netis WF 2780 model for 2 years. After a year, the Wi-Fi started to drop out periodically, and restarting the router helped at first, but eventually, the internet through the cable started disappearing altogether. There are not many antennas
If we do not take into account Xiaomi Mi Wi-Fi Router 3 and 3C with only Chinese-language official firmware, then Netis WF2780 is the most affordable four-antenna router on the market. The maximum Wi-Fi speed it supports is exactly the same as that of dual-antenna AC routers (theoretical 867 Mbps), and the Ethernet speed is 1000 Mbps.
Directed broadcast
So what is the benefit of four Netis WF2780 physical antennas compared to two dual-channel MIMO? It's simple: two antennas have to broadcast 180 degrees each, which weakens the signal strength. Four antennas broadcast a maximum of 90 degrees each, and with a small number of Wi-Fi clients, generally dotted, thereby achieving a significantly greater signal range.
For large areas
Thanks to its four-antenna design, Netis WF2780 is simply indispensable if you need to provide Internet access to a large private house or similar office. Moreover, it has a high-performance 660 MHz processor (a frequency higher than that of Xiaomi routers), but only 64 MB of RAM. However, due to the lack of a USB port, the firmware of the WF2780 is lightweight (there are no extra drivers and applications responsible for USB operation), so it does not need a lot of RAM.

That leaves us with an outdated model (created in 2013, appeared on the market in 2014), meaning it uses hardware relevant to 2013, but it's not the worst router for 802.11AC. There's absolutely nothing to it. Just plug in the cable, set it up once, and forget about it.
I would probably like to buy another one, some kind of Keenetic, but it costs 3-4 times more, for questionable firmware quality and theoretically 10% better performance.
Don't expect anything amazing from the router, this is the best model among the cheapest for apartment internet (for a two-room apartment, for example), but not for a house, not for long distances, and so on. The chip (components) is very old, not as ancient as back in 2013. And now it's 2021, and there are much better chips. But the price will be twice as much... Basically, it's like buying a Mercedes from the year 2000. It will work, but not all options are available.
