I performed a speed test on this router with an internet connection from a provider at 100 Mbps in the 2.4 and 5 GHz range, download speed was 94 Mbps, and the result was stable. The 2.4 GHz band has a longer range, suitable for a one or two-room apartment, with a signal of -62 dBm at the farthest point in a one-room apartment. The data exchange speed with Iperf test PC-Wi-Fi-Smartphone is 50-60 Mbps, so it handles a 100 Mbps internet well. The 5 GHz band has a shorter range, suitable for a one-room setup, with a signal of -72 dBm at the farthest point in a one-room apartment. The data exchange speed with Iperf test PC-Wi-Fi-Smartphone is 170-190 Mbps, so it handles a 100 Mbps internet well. However, internet speeds over 300 Mbps are pointless since the LAN RJ 45 port supports up to 100 Mbps. Price, the band at 2.4 works well. The 5 GHz band is quite weak, possibly due to a single 5 dB antenna, with a throughput of 433 Mbps, and in real conditions, 300-350 Mbps, as confirmed by the Iperf test. As a solution, you can replace the 5 dB antennas with 10 dB ones for better coverage, as the 20 dB amplifier allows for it. I've seen such antennas priced inexpensively, around 100-150 UAH. ![]() |
At the time of purchase, it was probably the most affordable dual-band router. The task was to buy an inexpensive router that could operate in the 5 GHz band. After reviewing a bunch of reviews, I finally decided to take the Netis N4. I’ll make a reservation right away that a router with gigabit ports was not needed. The bundle is the simplest: a router and a power supply, even a patch cord is not included, apparently the manufacturer saved as much as possible for the sake of the final price. The router itself is very compact, the antennas are not removable, but the position is adjustable in all directions. Before setting up, I immediately updated the software to the latest version. The setup itself was easy and fast, the interface is simple and clear, everything is in Russian, for a more or less versed person, all this will take a maximum of 5 minutes. Moreover, it is not necessary to connect a cable to a PC, I set it up on a smartphone simply by connecting from a wi-fi network. In terms of speed, in general, the results are the same as in the reviews on the network: about 60 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band and up to 95 Mbps in the 5 GHz band. The signal is quite powerful, it penetrates well through a couple of concrete walls and the speed is acceptable at the same time - 67 Mbps, this is enough for everyday tasks. A couple of smartphones, a laptop and a TV hang on the router, all this simultaneously pulls without problems. I didn’t connect anything according to the LAN, unfortunately I didn’t test the speed either, so I can’t say anything. The signal is always stable, there were no freezes during operation, it has been working for about a month and never had to reboot. In general, I can rate this model as one of the best in its price segment, I think that for such money this is a top purchase. If you need a simple home router for everyday tasks, you can safely buy it. Good speed and signal, compact, dual band and super price. I did not see any obvious shortcomings during the operation, well, except that a USB port would not interfere. |
A 2-band router is available. I connected it, set it up and forgot about it - the Internet is continuously and stably distributed, it does not glitch. Affordable, two ranges, stable operation. There is none. Everything suits. use Netis N4 month or more i recommend it should buy |
The stereotype that “dual-band” devices are expensive completely breaks the Netis N4 Wi-Fi router, assembled in a compact package with overall dimensions of only 118x86x22 mm.
Dual range
Two non-removable swivel antennas protrude from the miniature body of the device. Each of them is dual and operates in the range of both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. At the lower frequency, the router delivers speeds of up to 300 Mbps in wireless networks, at the top — up to 867 Mbps. When connecting clients through the physical WAN and LAN ports (2 pcs.), Throughput rests on a 100-megabit "ceiling".
Intuitive interface
The router configuration web interface opens at 192.168.1.254, which must be "scored" in the browser line. First of all, the user is greeted with a quick settings window, where it is proposed to enter the connection parameters to the provider and protect the wireless connection with a password. A much smaller proportion of users will fumble in the settings more specifically. The functional set here is quite standard: the router's assets include a MAC address filter, a bridge mode, a firewall, IPv4/IPv6 and TR-069 are supported.
High stability
The model fully fulfills the money paid, without requiring "dancing with a tambourine" for setting up and demonstrating the stability of data transfer at high speed without disconnecting the connection. The router easily “breaks through” one or two walls in the apartment, thereby providing coverage for the entire area of a relatively small dwelling in the “one-room” or “kopeck piece” format.
