Immersion or countertop blenders – what is the difference and which is better? For which tasks is it better to buy a countertop blender, and for which — an immersion one?

I still remember the times when people didn't quite understand the word blender. But, like many useful home appliances, it quickly carved out a "place in the sun" for itself. One application where hand blenders are significantly more convenient than any other device is making baby food for infants under one year old. Previously, vegetables, soups, and boiled meat were strained through a sieve or grated on the finest grater. This method is simple but long and labor-intensive. Manual preparation like this takes up to half an hour, and young parents typically don't have a lot of spare time. Doing the same with an immersion hand blender takes just two, maximum three minutes. So my wife and I bought one for our daughter, or rather for our granddaughter, without much hesitation. After all, the expenses aren't too high, as the prices for simple models are quite reasonable. With its first tasks, grinding baby food, it performed brilliantly. Any soft foods in the included cup are quickly turned into fine and dispersed puree. However, doing this specifically in the cup is not mandatory. The chopper also delighted by turning young beef into tiny pieces with a few pulses, practically into powder. It has enough power, and from this perspective, the machine is very well-balanced. It fits comfortably in the hand and does not slip, even if the hand is wet. A pleasant addition to all of this is the long 24-month warranty. You can't increase or decrease the speed, there is only one. It's great for pureed soups or chopping, but for mayonnaise, it would be better if the blades could turn slower. |
