Representing the Viva Collection line from Philips, the electric kettle received a metal flask and a keep warm function. When you press the Keep warm button located on the side of the case, the heating element will keep the current temperature value of the water, which means it does not have to be boiled again. The Philips HD 9355 electric kettle has a capacity of 1.7 liters, which corresponds to approximately 6 to 7 cups.
The flat heating element has a power of 2060 W, it provides protection against boiling over and automatic shutdown. In addition to the flask, the spout is also made of metal, the ergonomic shape of which is designed to prevent splashing and spilling of liquid. Additional useful features of the model include opening the lid by 90 degrees, the presence of a scale-indicator of the water level, a scale filter, a light indication of switching on and a reel for winding the power cord.

I'm already used to it, but the awful blue light with glare on the power indicator is really bright. The same kind of backlight is on the "keep warm" button. I don't have many other complaints about the kettle's design. The body is stylish, and the handle is made of high-quality plastic. The lid opens smoothly when you press the button, but you have to close it manually. It's not the best solution for a steel kettle. It has a boil-dry protection feature: if you accidentally turn it on while it's empty or there's not enough water, the kettle will automatically switch off. It requires at least 3 cups of water to turn it on. We use the "keep warm" function all the time; the water stays hot for an hour after boiling. When you take the kettle off the base, the keep-warm function turns off and switches right back on when you place the kettle back. The kettle has a good filter that protects against unwanted particles when you're drinking hard water. The case is stylish, and the handle is made of high-quality plastic. There is a boil-dry protection feature: if you accidentally turn it on when it's empty or there's not enough water, the kettle will automatically switch off. When you press the "keep warm" function, the water stays hot for an hour after boiling. The kettle has a good filter that protects against unwanted particles when you drink hard water. The nasty blue light with glare on the power indicator and the "keep warm" button is very bright. The lid opens smoothly after pressing the button, but you need to close it with your hand.
