Excellent lens, very pleased with it. Excellent color reproduction. Sharp. I did not observe any chromatic aberrations. Very sharp. In some cases, too sharp. Even at f/2.8. Macro works perfectly. Excellent price-quality ratio.. Ideal for a crop matrix. (in full-frame equivalent 105 mm). Excellent portrait lens. Beautifully blurs the background. Sturdy construction . When screwing the hood onto the lens, the lens cap does not stay in place. But this issue can be easily solved by using an additional 77mm cap, placed directly on the hood. ![]() |

Short description:
The model is an excellent choice for photographers working in the macro photography genre. The optical scheme of the lens, which includes three (one standard and two highly refractive) lenses made of low dispersion glass (SLD, Special Low Dispersion), provides excellent correction of all types of aberration and guarantees impeccable image quality. The use of multi-coated optical elements reduces the chance of glare and reflection artifacts, and also helps to achieve natural colour reproduction. The focus limiter makes autofocus more accurate and faster. Taking into account the crop factor of digital SLR cameras with an APS-C sensor, the focal length of the lens reaches a value of 105 mm, which is very popular for the macro genre. The Nikon and Pentax mount versions of the lens do not have an aperture ring. A threaded lens hood is included in the scope of delivery to simplify the use of the circular polarizing filter.
The lens comes in a kit for Canon EF, Konica Minolta AF, Nikon AF, Pentax AF or Sigma AF mounts.
