My girlfriend and I met through mutual friends with whom I went hiking more than once. So now I needed a double tent, and even of good quality, so as not to lose face, so to speak. The Terra Incognita brand has been familiar to me for a long time, you can always choose a tent of acceptable quality at a normal price from them. So I made my choice just from their rich assortment. A full-fledged two-layer tent for hiking of any complexity on flat and mountainous terrain. I must say right away that it is not for climbers, they have their own special requests and wishes. For hiking, weight is important and here it is very small, only 3.5 kg. If it suddenly seems to someone that this is a lot, then let me remind you that this is not some kind of single-layer miserable "deshman". The dimensions of the inner tent on the floor are 205x150 centimeters, that is, it is very comfortable for two people here. The material of this layer is a special breathable polyester. An outdoor awning is stretched over it. This is a fabric of a different kind, more dense, with waterproof and refractory impregnation. All seams of the outer tent are glued with an additional polyurethane tape, so that its water resistance is the highest, not a single downpour is terrible. You can not be afraid of rain also because the bottom is also waterproof and durable. All these parts come together on a strong and lightweight fiberglass tubular frame. When folded, everything is collected in a small compact bag measuring 15x15x45cm. The smell of the new tent was "not very good", it smelled of some kind of synthetic petrochemicals. Well, I discovered it in advance and aired it well. The smell, by the way, turned out to be unstable and disappeared in just half a day. |
