— VHF (Very High Frequency) means the frequency band from 134 to 174 MHz. This range combines good range and penetrating power of radio waves and, therefore, can be used both in the city and beyond. However, for reliable operation, such walkie-talkies require rather long antennas, and therefore they are used mainly in professional communications, in particular in taxi services.
