Einhell Classic TC-TS 254 Eco is a good machine of household class. He is quite capable of sawing boards with a thickness of 80 mm. But it is better, nevertheless, not to get carried away with the dissolution of raw wood, but to use this circular for sawing commercial lumber: medium-sized boards, slats, plywood and chipboard.

The saw is designed for small workshops (this is indicated by the not very large table size — 555x580 mm). Due to its relatively light weight (an 18-kilogram circular can be lifted and carried by one person without overstrain), it can be moved from place to place or carried from object to object.

Some "low-cost" inherent in the Einhell tool is felt, of course, in this model of equipment. The stamped table (made of metal with a thickness of about 1 mm) is not particularly rigid, but this is solved with a sheet of plywood with a thickness of 15-18 mm– Inexpensive machines almost always require a little "finishing" after unpacking, so be prepared for the fact that you will have to adjust the parallel stop scale, set the disk on the square and make other small adjustments to eliminate backlash. Fortunately, the adjustment gaps allow you to fine-tune the machine and achieve the required accuracy of work. Don't want to mess around? Then buy expensive stationary saws (for example, DeWalt), which cost two to three times more.

Considering the small price of the Einhell Classic TC-TS 254 Eco saw, we can safely say that it fully justifies its cost. It will not disappoint if you plan to use a circular for work in a home workshop or for the unhurried construction of a garage or cottage with your own hands. The saw can easily cope with cutting boards and sheet lumber, cutting bars and blanks for skirting boards or other similar tasks.

Among other stationary Einhell saws, it is worth taking a look at the Einhell Classic TC-TS 2025/2 U circular, which is distinguished by the increased size of the desktop, as well as the compact model Einhell Classic TC-TS 1200, designed to work with workpieces up to 45 mm thick.

The Makita 2712 circular saw is a good sawing machine designed to work with boards up to 85 mm thick. This model has a not too massive, but rather rigid frame (made of stamped steel with a thickness of about 1.5 mm). The power of a 2000-watt motor is enough to cut boards made of wood of any density. And the "soft start" system will take care of the reliability and durability of the motor, which reduces the load on components and mechanisms when turned on.

This saw is suitable for precise sawing of sufficiently large workpieces. Working with large parts is facilitated by a wide aluminium table, which increases to a size of 550x1600 mm with the help of expanders that are included in the kit. Thanks to the transport wheels and a three-metre power cable, it is convenient to drag the machine around the workshop to take the most convenient position for work.

But there are complaints about the quality of the dust removal system. The machine likes to get clogged from the inside with shavings and fine dust, so it's always better to use a vacuum cleaner so that you don't spend a lot of time cleaning the equipment after work.

The Makita 2712 sawing machine is a great option for a small workshop. Its performance, reliability and accuracy of work are unlikely to disappoint you (especially if you remember that it is not so expensive by the standards of the Makita tool).

Among the stationary Makita saws there are also more "serious" circulars. These include, for example, the super-popular and very respected Makita MLT100N model, but it costs much more.

The Metabo TKHS 315 circular saw is a carpenter's saw, which is best used for construction work (that is, where the emphasis is on performance and reliability, and not on filigree cutting accuracy). With a power of 2000 watts, it can cope with boards and sheet materials up to 85 mm thick and up to 290 mm wide (up to 220 mm at the corner stop). But it is better not to work hard and work with lumber no thicker than 50 – 60 mm, otherwise the saw will "choke" from time to time due to the operation of electronic protection, which does not allow too much load on the motor.

The circular has a large enough table, and it can be significantly lengthened (there is a 550x800 mm expander included) if you cut long boards. The wheels on the frame make it easy to carry the 62-kilogram machine on the floor to choose the most advantageous position.

Due to certain features of the design and layout of the machine, change some settings (for example, the angle of inclination of the disc) or replace the cutting wheel not too convenient. This factor is worth remembering if your work requires frequent adjustment of equipment for different types of materials.

The Metabo TKHS 315 saw can be safely recommended to those who work at a construction site. It perfectly handles with cutting boards intended for the construction of formwork, or we will open plywood for wall and roof cladding. But precision carpentry accuracy is difficult to achieve from it, so it is hardly suitable for furniture makers. For carpenters among the stationary saws Metabo there are more suitable models, like Metabo TS 254 600668000 or Metabo UK 333 103330000.

The Stanley SST1800 saw easily and easily handles with sawing well-dried wood up to 80 mm thick. But problems may arise with damp and frozen wood — 1800 watts of power (I would like a little more) and an electronic motor protection system that vigilantly monitors overloads affect. In general, the circular is well suited for workshops in which they do not set records for productivity and speed of work. For example, this machine will fit well into a home workshop or will suit a master builder who carries equipment with him from one construction site to another (large transport wheels and relatively light weight contribute to the movements).

The operation of the saw does not cause any complaints. The desktop tilt adjustments are set to within a degree and do not go astray. There is a longitudinal stop for more precise work. The retractable telescopic guide allows you to cut parts up to 640 mm wide.

But the legs have mixed impressions. They are folded (so that the machine takes up less space during storage and transportation), but they are very flimsy, which affects the durability of the saw. Therefore, it is more convenient to work when the circular is installed on the table, and not standing on the floor.

The Stanley SST1800 sawing machine is perfect for simple carpentry and not too intensive carpentry work. With its help, you can organize a convenient workplace anywhere: even in a small workshop, even in a corner of the garage, even on a construction site.

The Stanley tool, as it is known, is a "household" version of the popular DeWalt models, aimed at home craftsmen. Therefore, if it seems to you that you have already crossed the threshold separating amateurs from professionals, then it is better to look towards "adult" circulars, like DeWalt DWE7492, although they cost twice as much.

The Bosch GTS 10 J circular is a professional equipment. She saws smoothly and cleanly (especially if you use high-quality branded circles on wood). Unlike household grade saws, this model is designed for long-term operation and does not overheat during intensive operation.

The nominal power of the machine (1800 watts) does not look impressive, but it is worth remembering that every watt of the Bosch tool is "honest", so in fact this saw with a German engine will be more performant than the "Chinese" with 2.5 kW engines.

Almost everything is regulated in the design of the sawing machine. The disk tilts 47° to one side and 2° to the other. The rigid steel frame provides stability and stability during operation. There is a parallel stop designed to perform precise cuts (it is solid, durable and self-regulating). The disk starts smoothly thanks to the inrush current limiter. If a vacuum cleaner is connected to the sawing machine, then dust and sawdust will not close the cutting line and fly around the workshop.

Compact dimensions (when folded, the saw easily fits into the boot of a passenger car) and moderate weight (26 kg) allow you to use this circular for field work. To make it more convenient to work on the road, it is worth additionally buying a folding Bosch workbench, with which the machine is perfectly combined.

The "element" of the Bosch GTS 10 J circular is finishing work. Thanks to the thoughtful design and high quality of components, it provides a very precise cut. Therefore, this model is often chosen in order to build a full-fledged workbench for a woodworking workshop of a joiner profile around it. Bosch stationary saws are no less popular among builders who appreciate the equipment of this brand for reliability and performance. However, the prices for professional models bite slightly, so amateur craftsmen should choose among the cheaper Bosch saws of the "green" series.
