Ryzen 5 9600X is the junior processor on the Zen 5 architecture. While the competitor Intel has abandoned Hyper-Threading, AMD continues to rely on SMT multithreading. Thus, the 9600X has six physical cores and twelve virtual threads. The base frequency for all cores is 3.9 GHz, while the Precision Boost overclocking per core is 5.4 GHz.

Despite the parallel release of the B840 and X870 motherboards with the Ryzen 9000 processors, backward compatibility with the A620 and B650 is maintained. Of course, an AGESA BIOS update will be required, fortunately, most AM5 motherboards have a button for automatic flashing from a USB flash drive. Support for the PCIe 5.0 bus, by the way, also depends more on the motherboard than on the processor.

Despite the declared TDP of 105 W, in practice the 9600X heats up less. All thanks to the combination of technological processes: the chiplet with CCD cores is made at 4 nm, and the IOD with cache and graphics at 6 nm. But the Wraith Stealth cooler, like other Ryzen processors with the X index, was still not included even in the boxed version. And the Tray version also has a reduced warranty of one year.

2E Gaming ACN120W-ARGB is an affordable tower cooler with a 12-cm fan, which costs as much as models from famous brands with a small 9 cm fan. The bearing is hydraulic, the rotation speed is 800 - 1800 rpm, the blades are translucent. ARGB backlighting is synchronized with the motherboard by a 3-pin cable: ASUS Aura, MSI Mystic, Gigabyte Fusion, ASRock Polychrome.

In turn, the motor is powered by a 4-pin PWM and automatically regulates the speed depending on the processor temperature. Even at maximum speed, the noise level does not exceed a moderate 33 decibels. The radiator consists of an array of aluminum fins and four copper heat pipes. All this together is painted black or white for a unified style.

In addition, the paint protects copper from corrosion, and the soldered ends of the tubes are covered with decorative caps. Only the cooler base is unpainted: the tubes directly contact the processor. The kit includes mounts for all current processor sockets, including the latest LGA1700, 1851, AM4 and AM5. It's a pity that only a disposable bag of thermal paste was included.

Lexar Thor DDR5 RGB is a RAM with an optimal frequency of 6000 MHz, which supports both Intel XMP and AMD EXPO auto-overclocking technologies. Even higher-frequency memory is forced to make do with XMP for now. But EXPO significantly speeds up the cold start of a PC with Ryzen processors, and memory initialization in the BIOS is much faster.

Aluminum radiators Lexar Thor in thickness, not much, not little, 1.6 mm, which dissipates heat much more effectively than thin "foil" of many competitors. In height radiators moderate 4 cm, which only one centimeter protrudes above the textolite. Will not interfere with the installation of processor coolers. Additionally radiators are decorated with iridescent RGB backlight.

In addition to the DDR5 chips themselves, there are two more important controllers hidden under the radiators. The first On-Die ECC detects and corrects software errors in real time. The second PMIC evenly distributes power between two channels on one memory module. There is no third CDK clock generator, but it only makes sense starting from 6400 MHz and higher.

ASUS Prime B650M-R is a mid-size Micro-ATX motherboard with AMD B650 chipset. The absence of the E index in the chipset name indicates support for only the 4th version of the PCI-Express bus, which, however, is still sufficient for most tasks. But overclocking is possible in full: processor cores, integrated video card and RAM.

Two DDR5 DIMM slots usually overclock better than four, especially when using AMD EXPO-certified memory modules. There are also a pair of M.2 NVMe SSD slots: one above the graphics card, the other below it. The lower arm of the VRM power subsystem is covered by an unpainted aluminum heatsink. The CPU power connector is a paired 4+4-pin.

The Ethernet port is modern at 2.5 Gbps, but four of the six USB on the rear interface panel are slow 2.0. Fortunately, you can at least output Type-C (5 Gbps) to the front panel of the PC case. There is only one video output for the iGPU - HDMI, next to it is the BIOS FlashBack button. There are no LEDs on the PCB itself, but there are Aura Sync connectors for ARGB fans.

Prologix GM3224CQ is a curved monitor with a diagonal of 31.5 inches and a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. The VA matrix has a deep contrast of 3000:1, wide viewing angles of 178° and an eSports refresh rate of 165 Hz. It can display 16.7 million colors, including HDR, which will be especially appreciated by movie buffs. Gamers will find AMD FreeSync more useful (also works with NVIDIA).

This technology synchronizes the screen's refresh rate with the game's FPS, eliminating tearing, twitching, and other artifacts. The thin bezels around the screen are complemented by an equally thin V-shaped stand. Tilt adjustment from -5° to 15° is supported, but the height above the table cannot be changed. If desired, the monitor can be transplanted onto a flexible VESA 100x100 mm bracket.

Four digital video inputs (2xHDMI, 2xDisplayPort) are supplemented by an analog audio output Mini-Jack. The monitor also has built-in stereo speakers and a power supply, which reduces the chaos of cables. Pleasant bonuses include backlighting, a Ukrainian-language menu, and a three-year warranty. Power consumption of 55 W is slightly higher than that of IPS matrices, but they cannot be bent to a radius of 1800R.

Team Group T-Force G70 Pro is an M.2-2280 SSD that squeezes maximum throughput out of the PCI-Express 4.0 bus. The 1TB version delivers 7400 MB/s linear read and 5500 MB/s write speeds (the 2TB version delivers 6800 MB/s). This is achieved by the InnoGrit controller, which is faster and cooler than competing Phison and Silicon Motion solutions.

The T-Force G70 Pro can be equipped with a thin or thick radiator, the model's part number ends in 129 or 128, respectively. The thin one is made of graphene, an aluminum-carbon alloy to improve thermal conductivity, and is designed for gaming laptops. The thick radiator covers the drive on both sides and fits perfectly into the PlayStation 5 gaming console.

In addition to the virtual SLC cache, which is typical for all 3D TLC SSDs, there is also a physical DRAM buffer. It significantly increases the IOPS (input/output operations per second) rate. And TRIM and ECC technologies extend the service life of the drive: the rewriting resource is 740 TB, the warranty is 5 years. AZZA PSAZ-750W ARGB is a classic ATX 2.52 standard power supply with four 6+2-pin connectors for video cards. While the reinforced 16-pin ATX 3.0 cable is only required for the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti and more powerful. But even there it is optional, easily solved with an adapter. Competing Radeons are in no hurry to change the time-tested 6+2-pin even in the future RX 9000.

The efficiency factor of 87% is even higher than required for the 80 PLUS Bronze certificate. Another prestigious TÜV Rheinland award means complete electrical safety for the user. Protection against short circuits, voltage surges and power overload. Finally, the third RoHS certificate guarantees the absence of toxic substances in production.

The highlight of the PSAZ-750W is a fan with ARGB backlighting, or, as it is also called, Digital RGB. You can set one static color or their dynamic change, and then synchronize it with other PC components. But if your motherboard does not have the appropriate controller, you can control the glow with a button on the PSU case.

Zalman i3 Neo ARGB White is a snow-white case with a mesh front panel, behind which three ARGB fans are installed. The fourth similar propeller with a service life of 40 thousand hours is mounted at the back to expel heated air outside. Under the upper dust filter there is a sufficient gap in thickness for a 240 mm liquid cooler or a pair of 14 cm fans.

The fans are all connected to an ARGB 5V hub with six connectors for various luminous devices. An external Reset button is responsible for switching colors and flickering modes. Next to it are three USB ports, two of which are fast 3.0. The case can accommodate a long video card up to 35.5 cm and a high processor tower up to 16 cm.

The PSU casing can be equipped with two more fans for direct GPU airflow. The 3mm tempered glass side panel opens like a door with hinges, a handle, and a magnetic lock. There is a 2cm gap behind the motherboard for hidden cable management. The case weighs 5.6 kg, which effectively dampens vibration. In addition to the white version, there is an i3 Neo ARGB Black.

Gigabyte WindForce RTX 4070 OC V2 12G is the second revision of the GeForce RTX 4070 with slightly slower GDDR6 memory instead of the original GDDR6X. However, the difference in flow Rate is 5 percent at most, which can be attributed to statistical error. But the RTX 4070 GDDR6 has pleasantly become cheaper in anticipation of the start of sales of the RTX 5070 with DLSS 4 frame generation.

However, the RTX 4070 supports the third version of DLSS, which increases the frame rate, if not fourfold, then at least doubles it. From 60 real FPS, you can get 120 generated by artificial intelligence. GeForce graphics cards are responsible for AI using specialized tensor cores, which are not yet available in competing Radeon RX 7000 and will only appear in the future RX 9000.

The WindForce version is probably the most balanced in the Gigabyte line. The younger Eagle is noisy, and the older Aorus is made with an emphasis on beauty, not flow Rate. Despite the trio of fans, the video card is quite short - only 26 centimeters, it will fit even in a compact PC case. But the thickness is more than usual - two and a half PCIe expansion slots.
