Design and materials

The gas hob of the well-known household appliance brand Beko offers good value for money. This is an inexpensive panel in standard sizes (59x52 cm), which is suitable for a family of several people. And so that you can choose the design to your taste and interior, the manufacturer added a few more colours to the classic white: grey, beige and black. All of them look decent and do not give out that the model belongs to the low-cost segment.

The materials of the device are also of high quality. The work surface is covered with durable tempered glass, which is easy to clean with a regular sponge and detergent and withstands high temperatures. And the grates covering the burners are made of cast iron, which, although it gives weight, is not deformable and is resistant to shock and damage. At the same time, cast iron is a more difficult material to clean, but Beko HILW 64225 SW has two separate grates, which makes them easier to clean.

Burners for all occasions

The surface has 4 gas burners of different sizes. Two of them have the same power of 1.75 kW, there is also a small heating zone (1 kW), which will comfortably accommodate a coffee pot or a small container. But the special pride of the model is the Wok burner with several rows of flame, which has an increased power (3.3 kW) and saves not only time, but also gas consumption. It comes in handy when you need to quickly boil water, fry a steak or cook Asian dishes that require a strong fire and fast cooking.

All burners are self-igniting, which saves you from having to use matches, and is controlled using the classic rotary switches in the front of the surface. However they cannot be removed, so cleaning can be a daunting task.

Safe gas

Usually, when buying a hob, many people are confused by the danger of gas leakage, but Beko has taken care of this by adding a protection function. If the flame is extinguished (for example, by spilled liquid or a strong gust of wind), the system detects the extinction and turns off the gas supply. This is especially convenient if you always forget to turn off household appliances, or if there are children in the house who are already independent, but do not think about safety. In addition, to activate the gas control, the regulator after ignition must be held for about 5 seconds, which is not very convenient, but this is a feature of most models with this function.
