The Bosch PST 700 E jigsaw is low-power (it has a 500-watt motor, of which 300 W is useful), but this is enough for homework. It does not twitch or stall when sawing ordinary plywood or boards up to 50 mm thick (the maximum cutting depth is 70 mm). But when working with hardwoods or glued materials, such as thick OSB, some difficulties can, of course, arise. Therefore, choose this model only if you need a hobby-class jigsaw (and it is better to look for a professional tool among the “blue” Bosch jigsaws, and not the “green ones”).
Not a job, but pure pleasure
Users without exception note how this jigsaw is ergonomically verified and easy to use. It is compact and lightweight (only 1.6 kg, which is significantly lighter than most corded models), highly manoeuvrable and perfect for shaped sawing. The only thing that the instrument lacks for complete happiness is the pendulum movement.
Perfect amateur tool
The Bosch PST 700 E jigsaw is far from being a circular saw or a sawmill. To professional carpenters, its capabilities will seem ridiculous. But for those who like to tinker or independently make repairs in the apartment, this tool is more than enough.
