Bought it for my son for "AMD Phenom 2 x 4 965" and 16 GB of RAM, Motherboard ASUS M5L USB 3? All drivers installed on the first try, everything worked, Windows 7|64, installed it fresh, and then everything else. So far everything is great. Not yet . Question about Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 WINDFORCE OC 3G Что по мощности?
Я хочу взять эту видюху в сборке с AMD 2600X и 2х8 2933МГц, и мне кажется что остальные комплектующие слишком мощные для неё, так как у остальных тащит все новинки на высоких в 60 фпс, на тех же феномах старых, и 8 гб 1900МГц оперативки, так вот, стоит ли брать эту видюху под моё железо, или взять что-то по слабее, и сэкономить?

At the limit
The three-gig version of the GeForce GTX 1060 is the maximum graphics card that cheap four-threaded Pentium Kaby Lake processors can unlock. For a 6-gig version of the GTX 1060 with an increased number of microcores (1280 versus 1152), you will need a real quad-core: Core i3 Coffee Lake, Core i5 Kaby Lake or AMD Ryzen 3. And one of the cheapest modifications of the GTX 1060-3GB is the Gigabyte WindForce 2 OC.
Copper and aluminium
Almost all useful information about the graphics card is encrypted in the model name. The word "WindForce" refers to Gigabyte's proprietary cooling system, which consists of a large aluminium heatsink, an "S"-shaped copper heat pipe, and a back plate that acts as a stiffener. An additional small heatsink is mounted on top of the power circuit transistors. The number "2" indicates the presence of a pair of fans, and ribbed ones, which reduces air whistle to a minimum.
Factory and home
Finally, the "OC" suffix indicates the presence of factory overclocking — from 1506 to 1582 MHz. Another fifty-hundred megahertz (how lucky) can be squeezed out at home by manual overclocking. Fortunately, both the GP106 graphics chip itself and the cooling system are predisposed to this. At the moment, a combination of a four-threaded processor and a Gigabyte GTX 1060 WindForce 2 OC 3GB allows you to play any modern game at FullHD resolution and at least medium graphics settings. So, there is a guaranteed performance margin for a couple of years.
