The pre-top gaming graphics card of the second half of 2018 from the Nvidia GeForce RTX family, based on GPUs with progressive Turing microarchitecture. It is a performance gaming solution of the upper price category, designed for building high-end gaming systems and ultra-performance multiGPU systems. One of the first cards to support a brand new technology for rendering game scenes - Real-Time Ray Tracing, which allows you to take the quality of lighting and reflections to a whole new level.
Significantly, by 20-30%, it outperforms the similar product of the previous generation GeForce GTX 1080, in many cases provides parity with the previous flagship model GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. The Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2080 GAMING OC 8G graphics card is capable of providing the smoothest and most comfortable gameplay in all game projects of 2015-2018 at high graphics quality settings and resolutions up to 3840x2160 inclusive.
Equipped with an efficient Gigabyte WindForce 3X heat dissipation system with six advanced composite heat pipes and an alternative axial fan design. In idle, when the GPU temperature is low, the fans stop. The graphics card has built-in moderate factory overclocking profiles, consumes up to 250W and requires a power supply with less than 650W using two additional PCI-E 6-pin + 8-pin power lines.

I swapped my 1066 for a 2080 from Gigabyte. I wanted to test new technologies and increase performance. Initially, I was looking at a 1080ti on the used market, but decent options started at 33,000 rubles, and I wasn't ready to blindly give 27-29k to someone I didn’t know for something unclear. In the end, I chose this model. There were cheaper options, but only with a turbine. I bought it for 47k. Energy consumption is lower than the flagship models of previous years with similar performance (and therefore heat generation). Top cooling. The fans under maximum load run at just over 50% of their speed, very quiet. Decent overclocking potential. With ray tracing, you can play at 1440p resolution with ultra/high settings. Performs excellently when paired with a 1440p 144Hz monitor. At a high frame rate (over 250), the coils tend to whine quite noticeably. I hadn't encountered this before, but I had heard it happens, and now I've experienced it firsthand. It doesn't really bother me, since I usually play with a limit of ~130 frames and freesync, but it's definitely not a plus. When I manually set the fan speed to 100%: I almost lost it - the sound is like a helicopter taking off. On the other hand, it shows there's a decent margin for overclocking/cooling. I couldn't turn off the lighting. It's just a small inscription on the cover, but it's still annoying. And, of course, the price. I somewhat regret not waiting for the supers, but what can you do. ![]() |
Finally bought the long-awaited card. It is really good! Unlike other manufacturers, the video card is compact. Under load, it maintains 1920 MHz without dropping. Maximum temperature is 66 degrees. Overclocking +125 MHz core and 800 MHz memory. I shifted the maximum fan curve point from 87 to 80 degrees. As a result, it maintains a constant 2040 MHz on the core and a maximum temperature of 65 degrees. The case fans are completely inaudible, with a maximum rotation speed of 51%. I got one with micron memory, but +1000 MHz worked fine with the donut test. Great graphics card!! I've been waiting for its release for a long time Not yet) use Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2080 GAMING OC 8G less than month |
What can be said about this product card. The video card is quite good. The card was purchased as an experiment - to test modern games at ultra settings in 4K. The Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2080 Gaming OC runs smoothly under full load, with the temperature not exceeding 68 degrees, and at that temperature, the noise from the 3 fans was practically inaudible. This is not our first video card with Windforce 3x technology that we've bought, and it has never let us down under high loads. The RTX 2080 finally managed to deliver smooth 4K graphics with 60-70 playable FPS in games like Battlefield V, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and Anthem (closed alpha). The "ray tracing" feature in Battlefield was very impressive, adding more realism. Overall, it's a decent video card, and we definitely recommend it for purchase. If you're deciding between a "1080 Ti or 2080?", our opinion is to go for the 2080. However, if you already have a 1080 Ti, it's not worth spending the money right now. A new generation with new technologies, stable performance at 4K In fact, there aren't that many downsides. You could really only include: price, packaging completeness (for such money, they could have pleased buyers with adapters or some niceties, but as it is, the owner receives a box, a graphics card, and a driver disc). use Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2080 GAMING OC 8G few months |
