The Meridian audio setting is set to Standard mode only and does not apply to others. It's a pleasure to play high-resolution music. Audio playback for Dolby Atmos is only possible if the source has Dolby Atmos content. This soundbar will decode most Dolby, lpcm and only standard dts audio codecs. I watch mostly from streaming services, so the lack of DTS X doesn't bother me because they use Dolby digital to deliver the sounds anyway. When using the film mode, the speakers reproduce sounds quite convincingly and very effectively. This is a really good soundbar.
