MSI Optix MAG27CQ 27 " black
![]() |
The eldest of the trinity of gaming monitors in the Optix MAG line combines in one bottle a large diagonal curved screen and a high frame rate — 144 Hz when connected via Display Port and 120 Hz when outputting a signal via HDMI port. The frame rate on the monitor screen automatically adapts to the frame rate at the output of the graphics adapter due to the adopted Adaptive Sync technology (aka AMD FreeSync), as a result of which it is possible to achieve a smooth display of the picture.
By the way, it is displayed on a 27-inch MSI Optix MAG27CQ display at a maximum resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. In other respects, the VA-matrix is characterized by a response time of 1 ms, a peak brightness of 250 cd / m² and a static contrast ratio of 3000:1. The colour gamut of the matrix completely covers the sRGB space triangle (by 110%), which guarantees accurate colour reproduction. Of the additional “goodies”, the monitor is interesting in the presence of a 2-port USB 3.0 hub and a stand on board, the capabilities of which provide adjusting the screen position in height, rotation and tilt angles.

Let me tell you right away, the monitor is worth buying! I was choosing a monitor for gaming and so I could watch movies. I wanted it to have a good resolution, higher than FullHD and not 4K, since it’s too early for it, there’s no hardware to run it properly in games (for reasonable money), a VA or IPS matrix, good response and high Hertz, and of course more or less reasonable price (initially I looked at the Asus ROG SWIFT PG279Q for a long time, but the price is very high for it) based on this, I think it’s clear why I took the MSI Optix MAG27CQ. Since I have never had a curved monitor, I had to get used to it, after my 17-inch, in short, after a week of use, it already seems like an ordinary monitor to me, I got used to it, although initially it seemed that I was sitting right next to the TV) It’s a pleasure to play, the picture is very beautiful and smooth, and yet the curvature gives its effect; if during normal work it is noticeable that the monitor is curved, then in games this is not noticeable at all, but only as a plus. I was afraid that after switching to a VA matrix with IPS I would feel the difference between them, but no, everything is fine, I don’t notice the difference. In general, if you want a monitor with such characteristics and not overpay, then feel free to take this model, I took it and don’t regret it one bit! Smooth and rich picture, high Hertz, compared to other models, price For me they are not ![]() |
