A 27-inch gaming monitor joins Samsung's 2022 Odyssey lineup. The model represents a relatively inexpensive segment, supports a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, which partly reduces the requirements for a computer video card. The screen is based on an IPS-matrix with wide viewing angles, fast response (1ms GtG), low static contrast ratio (1000:1) and decent peak brightness values of 400 cd/m².

The level of the latter can be automatically adjusted and adapted to the lighting in the room (thanks to the light sensor). The gaming status of the Samsung Odyssey G4 27 monitor is supported by an excellent refresh rate of 240 Hz, support for AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync video synchronization technologies, as well as additional gaming options, such as Black Equalizer, which brightens dark areas for better visibility of objects. Among other features of the model, it is worth highlighting good color rendering parameters, including coverage of 99% of the sRGB space and HDR support, flexible options for adjusting the display position (rotate, change height, switch to portrait mode), the presence of a thin frame and popular connection interfaces (two HDMI and DisplayPort v 1.2).

If I plugged in this monitor, I was even more disappointed, even through a cable, which is included in the kit (HDMI 2.0) and stopped working after one hour. For some people, the display port cable did not work, because it was necessary to install it, but for that, obviously, another monitor. I have a feeling, I just dropped the adjustment to the standard ones, because nothing helped and I bought another cable.
