Mouse designers probably feel the same way as the writers of popular TV series. When the audience demands from you the same thing as before, but a little different. Bold experiments, theoretically, can lead you to the top, but most likely, they will lead to failure. This makes the Microsoft ARC line of ergonomic mice look even more interesting.

The trick of these mice is the bending body. In working condition, the manipulator arches its back and habitually lies in the hand. Moreover, only the back of the mouse bends, and the upper part with buttons or touchpad remains flat. But it is worth disconnecting the ARC from the power supply, as it immediately straightens up and takes a flat shape so as not to stick out of the laptop pocket.

Considering the price and class of these manipulators, they use proprietary Microsoft BlueTrack sensors, which clearly work on any suitable surface from a lacquered table or marble to a pile rug or grandmother's carpet. In addition, the sensor is not particularly sensitive to contamination, so the ARC manipulators are well adapted for travel. They also have a complete order with the quality of the wireless connection and battery life.

Microsoft is not in a hurry to throw new models at the market ― for more than 10 years of the series' existence, less than half a dozen models have appeared in it. At the time of writing, there are three models on active sale: the regular ARC Mouse, the hybrid ARC Touch Mouse with physical buttons and a touchpad, and the ARC Surface with a massive trackpad instead of buttons.
