Tools of the Japanese brand Makita are used in many parts of the world. The brand's battery technology uses one of two subtypes of batteries: CXT or LXT. Batteries of the latter type are equipped with the same line of Makita files. What is characteristic of her? Let's figure it out.
LXT 18V cartridge batteries are available for a variety of Makita power tools. These are lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 3 to 6 Ah with an eye to long-term operation without recharging. Particularly performant Makita LXT saws operate on two batteries at once — a well-coordinated bundle of batteries allows you to increase the operating voltage to 36 V and really squeeze the maximum out of the tool.
Replacement LXT batteries fit Makita's large arsenal of tools. |
The saws of the family are presented on store shelves in configurations without a battery, with one or two batteries of various capacities and a charger. A tool without batteries and a “charger” will be cheaper. Such a choice is prioritized when there are already Japanese brand cordless products with LXT type batteries in the home power tool fleet.
