Two colors, bass control, MDF subwoofer, remote control, Ecomode, price.
Marked front panel.

The Trust brand with a Dutch residence has a good reputation in the European market with a balance of cost and technical capabilities. Model Tytan 2.1. will please with ease of operation, quite tolerable sound and affordable price ($80).

2-way satellites are made of plastic, and the subwoofer is made of MDF. The system is offered in two color options: white and black. Grills are not supplied, but they would not hurt. The fronts of the satellites are glossy and quite easily soiled. Everything is switched on wires, they are included in the kit and are quite long, 1.8 m.

It is worth noting the presence of a wired remote control with Line in and Phones inputs, but you can also control the volume and bass level from the side panel of the subwoofer. There are also paired RCA connectors for satellites.

Ecomode deserves special attention, which after a while turns off the system automatically if you suddenly forget to turn it off.

Despite its compactness and cost, Tytan 2.1 sounds. Not bad. A 40-watt bass-reflex sub does its job, there is enough bass, and even with a vengeance. The tweeters complete the picture well, as far as it is possible for 10-watt speakers in plastic.

In general, swing the laptop to an inexperienced user with Tytan 2.1. it will turn out with a bang. Watching a movie, listening to the radio, or listening to dance tracks is enough. And for larger requests, there are other systems.

MDF case (satellites and subwoofer), phase inverter, USB port, card reader, built-in media player, price.
There is no headphone output.

Microlab pleases computer users with high-quality peripherals and acoustics in an affordable price segment. For just $70, you can become the owner of a compact 2.1 audio system TMN-9U with balanced sound and versatile design. Let's take a closer look at the model and find out why it has been so popular for more than 5 years.

The first and rather significant plus in the piggy bank of the system: MDF body in a black matte finish. It is dressed not only in the subwoofer, but also satellites. As a result, the system looks great in any modern interior and sounds very good.

Separately, it is worth stopping at the control panel located on the right side of the subwoofer. In addition to the usual two pairs of RCA, volume and bass controls, here you will see two slots: for USB media and SD cards, as well as 4 control knobs for the built-in media player. That is, the system is able to function as an independent media center, without the need to connect to a computer. In 2021, this, of course, will not surprise anyone, but for the 2015 model, it is impressive. But there is no headphone output and the ability to control from the remote control. Saved.

The system reproduces sound in the range of 35 - 20,000 Hz and, as we have said, sounds quite decent for its 40 watts RMS. 2-way satellites do not wheeze even at high volumes, and a subwoofer with a side phase inverter shakes bass compositions very well and does not go into a rumble.

In general, Microlab TMN-9U makes a positive impression. Compact classic, with a calm design, ample control and customization options. Great home option for music, movies, games.

MDF case (satellites and subwoofer), wired remote control, headphone output.
Activation of sleep mode after 30 minutes, non-removable wires, fake tweeters.

The Logitech brand has long been known in the world market for a wide range of computer peripherals and audio. The 2.1 Z-333 stereo system will surely please you with convenient controls, good bass sound and affordable price (about $80).

Z-333 is a classic rectangular speaker. Available in a single black matt finish. The satellite housings are slightly tilted back, and the diffusers are framed by wide plastic trims and covered with cloth grills. Such an appearance could be considered impeccable, if not for a strong disproportion in size. The satellites are almost two times smaller than the subwoofer, which is why they look tiny against its background and, to put it mildly, sound just as modest.

Here it is worth starting with the fact that the tweeters in the satellites are just a prop (why?), and the 3-inch 8-watt speakers play a little muffled and with a slight resonance. Even cases from MDF do not help. The sound is heard in the entire working spectrum, but lacks brightness and openness.

A 24-watt subwoofer placed in a closed MDF case, on the contrary, sounds quite confident and clear, but if you do not turn the volume knob above 60%. Then he starts smearing the bass all over the room, turning it into mush. The bass adjustment knob on the rear panel doesn't do much to improve the situation. In general, the verdict in terms of sound is “three with a minus”, although this, of course, is subjective and someone may disagree with us.

Much better is the management. A wired remote control decides a lot here, with convenient volume control, an on / off button and a 3.5 mm mini jack headphone jack.

The remote control has a device operation indicator - a bright green light indicates the activity of the speakers, and a dim light indicates sleep mode. The audio system goes into “hibernation” after 30 minutes of user inactivity, then it needs to be activated via remote control or computer, which is not very convenient, especially if you watch, for example, an hour and a half movie.

I also did not like the non-removable and too flimsy-looking wires. It is not difficult to damage them with a careless movement. But the length of the wires of 1.5 m is enough to place the satellites on the desktop, and the subwoofer under it or on the side.

In general, the impressions of the Logitech Z-333 remained rather controversial. On the one hand, a convenient remote control, a pleasant appearance, an acceptable price tag. On the other hand, there are obvious shortcomings in sound.

MDF housing (satellites and subwoofer), LCD display, phase inverter, wireless remote control, separate frequency control, built-in media player, Bluetooth, FM receiver, wall mounting.

Price from 5 500 ₴

Sven acoustic systems conquer the majority of users with almost everything: clear sound, modern design, functionality and reasonable price. For about $140, the MS-225 speakers make a nice addition to your PC or standalone media center.

The system looks stylish and modern. The upper parts of the MDF cases are finished with black film, and the front panels are finished with glossy plastic overlays.

For satellites, wall mounting is provided, fasteners are included in the kit. If the cables are not long enough, they can be disconnected and replaced with more suitable ones.

MS-225 pleases with an abundance of connectivity and playback options. There are RCA connectors, USB and SD slots on the back and side of the subwoofer, in addition, there is support for Bluetooth and FM radio!

Control buttons: volume and frequency adjustment, playback start/stop are placed on the front panel in the form of a circle. Above it is an informative LCD display with white backlight, the intensity of which can be adjusted.

Considering that several functions are assigned to physical buttons, it is more convenient to use a wireless remote control, which, among others, has a button to instantly wake the system from sleep mode.

In terms of sound, the system also did not disappoint. 2-way satellites and a bass-reflex subwoofer with a total power of 80 W can easily fill a room up to 15 square meters with a clean, balanced sound. Separate bass and treble controls let you customize the sound to your liking.

Sven MS-2250 is definitely the flagship model in the niche of 2.1 computer audio systems under $150. It has everything you need and everything works like clockwork. By the way, about the clock. They are here too.

Design, external amplifier, MDF case (satellites and subwoofer), LCD display, optical input, headphone output, separate frequency control, wireless remote control, price.

The Chinese brand Edifier is actively introducing innovative technologies into the production of its audio systems. As far as he succeeds, consider the example of C2XD computer speakers.

In addition to the standard 2.1 set, C2XD includes an external amplifier, which is already a good claim for good sound. The products are made in MDF cases in the original high-tech design (tweeter membranes slightly protrude from the top of the case) with a black matte vinyl finish. Fabric overlays protect the speakers from dust and damage, and also give the speakers solidity.

2-way satellites are rather weak in power - only 9 W each, but the issue of loud and dense sound is solved by a 35-watt subwoofer with a rear phase inverter port and an external amplifier. Volume, bass and treble can be adjusted from the wireless remote control or from the front panel of the amplifier with digital indication. On the rear panel of the amplifier, in addition to the Sub in input, and two pairs of RCA, there is also an AUX and an optical input. On the right side is another AUX and a headphone jack.

The sound of the system is excellent, but very demanding on the placement of the subwoofer. We'll have to find the right place for him so that the speakers sound really "delicious".

Edifier C2XD will be a great addition not only to a computer, but also to any wired digital signal source. Excellent intelligibility and completeness of the scene, a large margin of volume, a minimum of distortion. For $150 you can't ask for anything better.
