"Die Hard" in the entry-level class of Nikon DSLRs with an APS-C sensor. At its core, the camera is a “minor” update of the D5500 model, because of the new one, it was “brought up” only with a hinged mount for a 3.2-inch touch screen and a SnapBridge function for organizing constant pairing with mobile gadgets via the Bluetooth low energy protocol. From its predecessor, the Nikon D5600 borrowed all the best: a 24.2 MP sensor without an anti-aliasing filter, a 39-point autofocus system and an Expeed 4 image processor.
Its responsibilities include ensuring similar DSLR performance at various ISOs (from 100 to 25600 units) and continuous shooting speed up to 5 fps. The photographic side of the issue is supplemented by support for video recording in FullHD format at up to 60 fps. This is my first DSLR, before that there were various simple cameras, the best of which was the Canon S5 IS. But I understood what a real photo is only with this camera. This is an "initial plus" SLR camera, but for me, a user of soap dishes, this is a whole world of previously unknown settings and adjustments. And most importantly, she knows how to shoot in RAW format, which opens up huge and very powerful opportunities for editing photos and radically improving not the best shots. In the first few evenings, I simply could not tear myself away from Lightroom, it was so interesting and, most importantly, useful. The camera itself is rich in controls, there is an excellent viewfinder with diopter correction, which in my case was necessary. There is a high-quality touch rotary display. In addition, the camera can be controlled from a smartphone, for this there is Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC interfaces. Provides excellent image quality in a wide range of conditions. I especially liked the clear work of the automatic white balance, which not all cameras can boast of, fast autofocus and image quality at ISO up to 3200 inclusive. Noise becomes noticeable only at 6400, so you can shoot even at dusk. There is an HDR mode. We were also pleased with the results of shooting FullHD video with a frame rate of 50. If you shoot from a tripod, the picture is obtained as from a good studio video camera. This is primarily the dimensions and weight. Everything that I used before this DSLR was many times more compact and lighter, so I had to get used to it. And anyway, this is not the kind of camera that you can take with you just like that, in case a good shot turns up during a walk. And it's upsetting, because interesting moments and plots often happen that way. |
A cool SLR camera for an advanced amateur photographer. True, I still fit poorly into this category, there are not enough qualifications yet, but I will grow. Moreover, it is a sin not to do this with such a camera. She takes great pictures, so far she has not figured out all the settings, but what she has mastered already allows you to work small miracles. High resolution is combined with excellent detail and a decent dynamic range. In this sense, I really liked working with 14-bit RAW files. But recently, I did not even suspect that this allows pictures with backlighting to get a powerful second wind. The work of autofocus is impressive, it is very tenacious and there is almost no need to interfere with its work. But if you need to do this, you can select the focus point directly on the spacious LCD touch screen. You also need to praise the quality video shooting. I heard that Nikon is not strong in this, but I was convinced of the stupidity of such a statement - 1920x1080x60 / 50fps - it shoots perfectly. Зеркалку присматривать начал еще весной, но долго не мог определиться с маркой – Canon или Nikon. Раньше снимал на не дорогую и почтенного возраста беззеркалку Fuji, но зеркалки это совсем другая история и пришлось перечитать массу материалов. Nikon выбрал по двум причинам: во-первых, по общему сложившемуся мнению у этой марки более естественная цветопередача, цвета не такие яркие как у Canon, но они ближе к природным; а во вторых, фотографы считают что в условиях более низкой освещенности Nikon чувствует себя увереннее. Это уже не просто самая дешевая зеркалка, это недорогая камера среднего класса. Любительская, конечно, профессиональный Nikon как и Canon совсем других денег, в разы дороже. Но для меня это замечательный аппарат, хорошо если за три прошедших с его покупки месяца я понял 30% его возможностей, а может и того меньше. Корпус пластиковый поликарбонатный, с удобным эргономичным хватом. Органов управления много, привыкать к их использованию приходится постепенно, но для нетребовательного любителя годится и автоматический режим, в котором камера может самостоятельно делать вполне удачные фото. Автофокус отрабатывает на 10 из 10, но при необходимости можно сфокусироваться вручную, тапом по большому и яркому дисплею. Он, тут кстати, поворотный, так что комфортно снимать можно из любых положений, включая позицию на вытянутых руках над головой. Шикарно фотографирует при слабом освещении. ISO 3200 это полностью рабочее значение, да и на 6400 многие кадры смотрятся все еще неплохо. Отдельная история это файлы формата NEFF, он же RAW. При 14-и битной глубине цвета в Lightroom с такими кадрами работать одно удовольствие. Поддерживает все беспроводные протоколы связи, что дает возможность управлять камерой дистанционно, со смартфона. По сравнению с без зеркальными камерами и размеры и особенно вес впечатляют. И это не самые приятные впечатления. Снимку она делает волшебные, спору нет, но это камера точно не для постоянного ношения. Бывают ситуации когда ее просто жаль брать с собой, зеркалка - техника нежная, тряски и ударов совсем не любит. |

Good legacy

Innovations
So what's new in the D5600? First of all, this is SnapBridge technology for organizing constant communication with mobile gadgets using the Bluetooth low energy protocol. Using the technology, it becomes possible to transfer images from the camera directly to a smartphone without compromising the battery life of both connected devices. The DSLR also added the function of shooting time-lapses — a series of photographs taken by the camera is combined programmatically into a single video sequence.
New angles
The shortcomings of the model are attributed to slow focus in LiveView mode, i.e. when used for sighting during the shooting of a 3.2-inch display. Nikon still fails to get rid of this shortcoming in Nikon's entry-level DSLRs. At the same time, the screen is strong in another way — it is touch-sensitive and can rotate on all axes, allowing you to look at the situation from a different angle, changing the usual angle. There is no point in updating to the D5600 model for owners of the two previous versions of the “5,000th” series, and for enthusiastic amateur photographers, a DSLR will fit into the role of the main working tool as well as possible.
