Reliable built-in (internal) corporate-class server hard drive with a capacity of 3TB (3000GB) from the 3.5" HDD Seagate Constellation ES.3 lineup, which includes models with capacities ranging from 1 to 4TB. This series includes reliable server drives whose design and firmware are optimized for long-term data storage tasks in SAN/DAS/NAS arrays and servers with up to 16 HDDs in the basket.
The Seagate Constellation ES.3 ST3000NM0033 hard drive is suitable for use in RAID arrays of enterprise-level server systems and local data centers. The SATA 3 interface is used for connection, allowing such a drive to be installed in high-performance universal PCs and workstations. The fast-acting CMR magnetic recording method ensures high read/write speeds, and the magnetic plates rotate at 7200 RPM, reducing access time.
The manufacturer claims high resistance to rotational vibration, ensuring the stability of operational characteristics when working in arrays of multiple drives. With properly organized active cooling, it can be operated in 24/7 mode. The drive firmware is optimized for RAID array operations and supports technology that prevents the device from dropping out of the array.

Got myself this factory-refurbished one. Didn't have time to test it on the computer right away—straight to video surveillance. It crackles a bit while reading and writing. The thermometer says it heats up like all HDDs. But that's a plus in a cold winter room. :) I'd specifically mention the downfall of any HDD: any constant deficiencies or single power failures can kill any hard drive! Some quicker, some take a bit longer. So sometimes it's worth testing the working parameters of your "best and time-tested" power supply. Works quickly, price, heats the video surveillance system. The mice complained about the crackling. |
