A wireless router of a confident mid-range for a multi-room apartment or a relatively small country-style house. The model features support for operation in two frequency bands: 2.4 GHz with a maximum bandwidth of 300 Mbps and 5 GHz with data exchange speeds of up to 1201 Mbps. The connection of the router to the World Wide Web is carried out through a Gigabit Ethernet WAN port, and the TP-LINK Archer AX12 is also equipped with three gigabit LAN ports for deploying a wired local network.
The device has four external antennas and "Beamforming" technology that allows the signal from the router to be concentrated directly towards client devices. Additionally, the model's assets include multi-user data transmission technology MU-MIMO, support for all current security protocols (including WPA 3), and robust traffic encryption. For configuring the router, either a web interface or the TP-Link Tether mobile app can be used.

The optimal router at a competitive price/capacity. Everything is and there is nothing funny. The router uses Wi-Fi 6 and claims speed of 1201/1201 (Mbps) (screen 10). When the signal is equal, there is a drop in the 5 GHz band compared to the ASUS RT-AX56U router, which requires respect to the rulers of the great Budyns. After taking the measurements, we looked at the whole wall 1.5 times + plaster wall up to 10 cm (screen 7). + Simple setup + proprietary app for this (screen 6); + Access to the router from the outside world without white IP via TP-Link ID; + Device reboot scheduling available (there are no perfectly stable routers) (screen 9); + OpenVPN server/client available; + For tinfoil hat enthusiasts, Wi-Fi signal power can be reduced :) + Guest network is available; + Parental content control by time (screen 8). - There is sagging in the 5 GHz range; - Legs without rubberized inserts. The router is not performing well when it comes to distributing the internet. Behind the wall (2 meters from the router) all laptops and phones already show 2 bars and the signal keeps dropping (and it doesn't matter whether they are expensive iPhones, Samsungs, MacBooks, Lenovos, so the problem isn't with the devices). If you go behind 2 walls (bathroom, balcony), it's impossible to even use Telegram (the direct distance is about 5 meters). It can't even handle a 100Mbps internet connection in reality. On 2.4GHz, the speed only goes up to 25/30Mbps (download/upload), on 5GHz the speed is 70/90Mbps, which I find unacceptable for a router with its claimed speed. I've updated the firmware, disabled all firewall functions, and reconfigured the channels for wifi, all to no avail. I recommend considering models from other manufacturers. Wide coverage area
The router has a minimalist design and is equipped with four non-removable antennas that provide wide signal coverage. Thanks to Beamforming technology, the signal is accurately directed to client devices, improving communication. MU-MIMO technology provides multi-stream data transmission, which improves performance when connecting multiple devices.
Dual-band operation
The device supports the creation of two wireless networks at 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. At 2.4 GHz, the speed is up to 300 Mbps, and at 5 GHz - up to 1201 Mbps. The connection to the Internet is carried out through a gigabit WAN port, and three gigabit LAN ports provide a high-speed wired connection. The WPA3 encryption protocol is responsible for the security of connections.
Convenient remote control
The router is configured via an intuitive web interface. Additionally, the device supports remote control via the TP-LINK Tether mobile application, which allows you to easily change network settings with a few taps on your smartphone screen.
